Ryan and Devon grew up together in church and shared the same friend group. Ryan asked Devon out 12 years ago. She turned him down and moved across the country. Fast forward 11 years: Devon was back home, bed bound, and dying from Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Ryan visited her, comforted her, encouraged her, and never left her side.


On June 12th, 2024, while walking (yes WALKING! What a blessing it is to walk!) through Big Spring Park, where their first date was, Ryan asked Devon to be his wife. She happily said yes. Their joy comes from God above. How glorious is He!
