You might be curious about why we chose Oregon for our wedding... The truth is, we’ve long dreamt of visiting. From watching countless videos of its coastline to envisioning ourselves cruising along the Pacific 101 in a dreamy car, Oregon has always been on our mind. When it came time to plan our wedding, we wanted to create something truly memorable—not just a fleeting day, but a whole weekend filled with joy and connection. We realized that a destination wedding in Oregon would be a great way to bring our families and closest friends together, creating new memories in a place we’ve always wanted to explore. We know that traveling across the country is a big commitment, and we completely understand if it’s not feasible for everyone. Please know that regardless of whether you can make it or not, you are dearly loved and will be missed. Our hope is that we can share this unique experience with you and make unforgettable memories together in the beautiful backdrop of Oregon.

Why Oregon

FlyingThe closest airport to Pacific City is Portland Airport (PDX) at roughly 90 miles. Please note that you will need to rent a car to reach the Oregon Coast from the airport. LodgingAlthough we’re staying in Neskowin, we wanted to provide an option near the beach reception for your convenience and to minimize travel. However, feel free to choose any other accommodation that suits you best!

This hotel is located close to the beach with views from every room. It is walking distance from where our beach bonfire reception will be set up. Use Promo Code CUMPSTON when booking. This will help keep track of all of our guests reservations. There is no room block.

The Pacific Northwest and Oregon Coast are known for their scenic coastline, National Parks and Forests, outdoor activities ...and unique weather. Even though we're tying the knot in the driest month of the year, the coast’s weather can be unpredictable! We encourage everyone to embrace all that Oregon has to offer—even a little rain! If it rains on our wedding day, we’ll ride the wave and might just end up at some cozy, circa 1930s coastal dive bars.&nbsp;

For our beach Wedding Ceremony and Reception, we’re aiming for a look that’s casual yet elegant. Think of it as relaxed beachwear with a touch of sophistication. We’d love for you to wear colors inspired by the coastal environment, such as sandy neutrals, seafoam greens, and warm corals.

If you are a fan of the movies&nbsp;The Goonies, you need to visit the iconic Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach and the Goonies house at 368 38th Street, Astoria, OR 97103, where&nbsp;Chunk&nbsp;did the truffle shuffle! It’s a great way to relive the adventure and take in some stunning coastal scenery!

Things to Do

Before the big day, we’re planning an adventure to explore the Redwoods and wanted to invite anyone who’d like to join us. No pressure, of course, but here’s our plan: &nbsp;Monday, July 28Fly into Portland, OR and drive to our cabin in Crescent City, CA (5.5-hour drive).&nbsp;Tuesday, July 29Explore the Redwoods at Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Cabin is located across the street from the park entrance.&nbsp;Wednesday, July 30Check out and take a scenic drive up the 101 to Neskowin, OR, where our Airbnb is located. We have a couple of stops in mind along the way! We’ve reserved 5 cabins in Crescent City for those who want to come along. Cabins sleep 2-6 people (see link below). Let us know if you’d like a spot so we can save one for you! If you'd prefer to book your own Airbnb, there should be other options available nearby as well. Cabins cost $450-$550 total for both nights and the cost can be split among the people staying in each cabin. We’re so excited for this adventure and would love to share it with you! If possible, please carpool!We’re unsure how full parking will get, so sharing a ride is a great way to help everyone arrive smoothly and stress-free. Please give yourself plenty of time to&nbsp;arrive, park, and enjoy a short walk&nbsp;to the beach before the ceremony begins at&nbsp;4:30 PM. The ceremony will take place near the public beach access on&nbsp;Breakers Blvd, marked with the beach access sign for Mount Angel Street 39A. All parking options will lead you to the public beach access entrance on Breakers Blvd, marked with the beach access sign for Mount Angel Street 39A. From there, follow the short path to the beach where you’ll see our welcome sign and ceremony setup. There will be no shuttle services before the ceremony. Shuttle will be available after the ceremony for anyone who prefers a ride back to their cars.&nbsp; Guests staying in Neskowin will be shuttled to the reception in Pacific City and back home safely at the end of the night.
