Our Wedding

Our story starts back in college, when Thao and Devon met inside a finance class, sitting next to each other. Over time, with conversation about classes as well as spending time with each other to go over subjects, what turned from classmates turned into something more after Devon’s consistent pursuit of the woman he knew was different and special. The early days of dating were filled with adventure, fun, and stressful college classes looming overhead. But eventually, the two of them went on to graduate from NIU and start to move on with life. This only made the relationship stronger as it went from just college dating to real life. From Devon being invited to a housewarming party, that turned into a Lunar New Year’s invite from grandma; The family was quick to accept him as one of their own. It seemed as if there was something there; the feeling of love in the air was blooming between the two of them, something that would last a lifetime. One day, big changes began to shape their relationship for the better. The two of them started living for Jesus, giving their lives to him wholeheartedly, building the foundation that their marriage would be built on, around faith in Jesus, along with worship, prayer, and the bible. Loving God more than each other, so that they could love eachother with a pure and sacrificial love. Their lives were completely transformed. From there, we have been together for nearly three years, navigating trials and tests, the highs and lows. They were truly in love and thankful for meeting eachother. Both of them knew this was the person they wanted to marry and be with for the rest of their lives as husband and wife.
