Our Engagement

Our engagement took place on the annual camping trip Drew's family takes every year with many of their family friends to Lake Millerton, CA. Drew has been going to this lake every summer for most of his life and eventually he started taking Devyn every year as well and this was her 5th year at the lake. It was the second to last day of the trip and everyone was outside eating breakfast when Drew's daughter Ashlynne came up to Devyn and said "I need to show you something in the camper....NOW!". Devyn said "What is it?" and Ashlynne said "Just come see!". So Devyn followed her into the camper they were staying in and Ashlynne proceeded to show her an empty ring box and said "Look what I found in my dad's bag!" Devyn was a bit confused and panicked at what she was seeing thinking Ashlynne may have ruined her dad's surprise so she told Ashlynne they need to put it back and go back outside. So Ashlynne went outside and Devyn turned to put the ring box back in Drew's bag. When she opened the camper door to go back outside, there was Drew waiting on bended knee for here to come down the steps. He proposed and she said yes! A couple hours later Drew surprised Devyn again when her mom and brothers arrived at the lake to spend the day with them. That night everyone celebrated the engagement with dinner and a ring shaped cake. It was an amazing trip that ended in an amazing engagement.

Gina and Devyn have been best friends since they were 8 years old. There isn't much these two haven't been through. Devyn was a bridesmaid in Gina's wedding and is also the Godmother/"auntie" of Gina's son Brantley.

Parker is the older of Drew's little brothers and always finds a way to crack Drew up. Drew is honored to have him by his side on the big day.

Tanner is the younger of Drew's little brothers, and Drew loves whenever he gets the chance to spend time with him. Drew is honored to have him as a best man.

Sam and Devyn met through Drew and have been great friends ever since and even though Devyn's getting married she is looking forward to many more "lipstick nights" with Sam.

Monroe is Drew's baby sister and has one of the best laughs Devyn's ever heard. Devyn is very excited to be able to call Monroe her sister in law!

Brantley is Devyn's adorable 2 year old Godson. Drew is placing bets if anyone is interested, on whether or not Brantley will actually make it all the way down the aisle.

From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), take the I-105 East to the I-405 South. Follow the I-405 South to the CA-73 South. Continue along the CA-73 South to the I-5 South towards San Diego. Take exit 77 from the I-5 South onto Avenida Vista Hermosa. Taking a right onto Avenida Vista Hermosa, continue straight for 1 mile and them make a right onto E Avenido Pico. The Casino is located on E Avenido Pico, just across the street from the Metrolink San Clemente Station parking lot. Please note: the CA-73 does require a toll. There is metered parking in the Metrolink parking lot that requires payment up until 6PM. Quarters will be provided, so please come by the venue before paying for parking.

Los Angeles International Airport

We have blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn Express San Clemente for the nights of Friday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 23 at a group rate of $119/night plus applicable taxes. You will receive complimentary self parking and breakfast. Hotel amenities include free high speed wireless internet, business center, fitness center and heated pool. The hotel is exactly one mile from the wedding venue, about a 4 minute taxi or Uber ride. Please make sure you mention the Weaver/Simms wedding if booking over the phone or the group code WSW if booking online to receive the discounted rate and be sure to book before Tuesday, March 22.

We have blocked rooms at the Best Western Plus Casa Blanca Inn for the nights of Friday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 23 at a group rate of $110-$120/night plus applicable taxes. You will receive complimentary self parking and breakfast. Hotel amenities include wireless internet, business center, fitness center, laundromat and heated pool and jacuzzi. The hotel is less than one mile from the wedding venue, about a 5 minute walk. Please make sure you mention the Weaver/Simms wedding to receive the discounted rate and be sure to book before Tuesday, March 22.

John Wayne Airport (SNA) is just under 30 miles from the wedding venue. From John Wayne Airport, take the I-405 South to the I-5 South towards San Diego.
