Our Story

Cops & Roberts

Picture of Cops & Roberts

We met at the police academy in 2018. Dez remembers Logan being forced to standup in front of everyone on the first day because he got in trouble & everyone had to thank Cadet Roberts! Logan would play footsies with Dez under the table at chow. He also would have her apply biofreeze on his “hurt” shoulder at night before lights out.

We started seeing eachother on & off for a couple years after the academy. Dez finally got a transfer to work for the troop in the same county that Logan was working for. We moved in together at the Norridgewock house in 2021 with our fur babies Trout & Penny. Logan graduated the K9 program with Somerset Sheriffs Office & brought home our third dog Geno.

In 2023 Logan got hired by the Maine State Police. Shortly after we bought our first house together in Clinton! We put a deposit down on a puppy & flew out to Colorado to get her. Dez was on edge hoping this would be the trip Logan would finally ask her the big question. Logan waited until the VERY last day to propose & threw Dez off completely. Logan asked to marry him on 03/11/2024 in Frisco, Colorado just outside of Breckenridge. Logan pulled off & asked Dez if she wanted to take a photograph. When they got out Logan got down on one knee & asked. When Dez looked down she noticed there was not a ring inside of the box he was holding. Dez was so confused & thought he was messing with her. Come to find out the ring was not seated properly in the box & fell out when he opened it! Dont fret the ring was recovered by Logan & perfect. Needless to say Dez said yes!

It was the best trip ever. We brought home our baby girl Brooke & came back engaged!

We are so excited to have our wedding in Belgrade as its the first place Dez called home in Maine. We started our love story here in Belgrade at Debra’s house. Where Dez showed Logan the “tiny houses on the ice” & learned they were actually ice shacks for fishing.

We are so excited to embark on this journey & look forward to saying “I Do” with all of you! 🤍
