In 2021, Bethany served at a small diner in Loganville called Cup and Saucer. While Dez was attending the diner as a customer, it was obvious that Bethany and Dezmond both caught each other's attention, and Dezmond invited Bethany to attend church with him at Truth Chapel. While the attraction was there, she was getting ready to move to Tampa, and the timing just wasn't right for either of them.

After adding each other on social media and watching each others lives unfold over the next few years, the two were obviously interested in one another, but the timing still wasn't right.

Bethany moved home from Tampa over the summer of 2022 and roughly a year after, she and Dezmond ran into each other in downtown Monroe. That night they joked about getting married and just how much they admired one another from afar over the last few years. The rest is history.
