You can reach Timișoara from Germany by several means of transport:

/ By Plane: Direct flights from major cities like Munich (MUC), Frankfurt Hahn (FFM) or Nürnberg (NUE) take about 2 hours and are the fastest option.

/ By Train: Travel via Budapest with connections; the journey takes around 15-20 hours.

/ By Bus: FlixBus offers direct routes from many German cities, with travel times between 18 and 24 hours.

/ By Car: Driving takes about 10-12 hours, depending on your starting point, and offers flexibility for stops along the way.

There are no direct flights from North America to Timișoara. International visitors from the US and Canada can reach Timișoara by booking a connecting flight through major European hubs like Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna, or Paris. Total travel time is usually 13–17 hours. Once in Europe, several airlines offer direct flights to Timișoara. Alternatively, you can fly to nearby cities such as Budapest or Belgrade and continue to Timișoara by train or bus. No visa is required for short stays for US and Canadian citizens.

There are several options to get to the wedding location from Timisoara:

- use a ride hailing service: recommendations include Bolt and Uber, which are both widely available in Romania

- by taxi. There are a few taxi stations in the city with the most renowned one next to the hotel Continental.

- by shuttle: it is like that there will be a frequent shuttle service between the wedding location and the city center. We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more!

It's an outdoor wedding, think twice about the height of the heels and whether you take the risk of your tie being chewed on by a goat.* Come casual and as colourful as you are or feel. Suits will be allowed too.

At our wedding we'd like to invite you to a trip around the world! But fear not, it will be less about long commutes and endless waiting times and more about celebrating different cultures and unique perspectives on life and the world we live in - as we all bring them to the table.

*there might actually be goats, but they are not roaming free - so your tie is not actually at more risk than it is at the usual dinner party.
