Our Wedding

So if you have clicked under this tab for “Our Story” I am sure that you know that this will be Diana writing this.. if you know Steven… well that is all I have to say… Although he can have a sweet and sappy side of him, if it requires him to illustrate more than a few sentences, it is NOT going to happen…… LOLHowever, it is my pleasure to be writing this.&nbsp; Our story is not your typical “high school sweetheart” sappy love story or the “I swiped right on her profile” scenario but in a similar way,a mutual friend “Mrs. Cupid’ suggested that we start talking. Steven and I&nbsp;both were not looking for a relationship at the time but as the cliche saying goes “you will find it when you are not looking” was actually accurate in our situation.&nbsp; Friday April 29th, 2022 was the first night that we met. There was an event that we were both invited to.“Mrs. Cupid” made sure that we were both invited. I was hesitant on going due to of course being nervous and shy.. hard to believe coming from Diana.Butttttt I did, and I found the group of friends that he was with in the crowd, walked up, started talking and thinking to myself “Where is Steven?”&nbsp;“Did he leave because I was coming?”&nbsp;“He definitely took a rain check tonight…”But just about that time someone tapped me on my left shoulder, I turned around and there he was with the cutest, goofy, biggest smile. We hugged and started a conversation and it went from there..&nbsp; “The rest is history”&nbsp; From good times drinking margarita’s on the weekend, to movie nights on the couch, jeep rides with no destination and him holding every single door open for me, family dinners on Sunday, and the love he showed for my child… He stole my heart!Laughing until we cry, the cheesy jokes, “this one time” story telling, and long conversations but there is one that stood out to me the most.&nbsp;When I mentioned that I had a son, Steven’s exact words were “I think that is awesome, I cannot wait to meet him.” As I tear up typing this, I would like to say that everything that he and I both have ever been through, it lead us to each other. I can now finally relate to the saying that I have heard my whole life&nbsp;“When you know, you know”&nbsp; Steven proposed on May 27th, 2023 and shockingly I was the only one that did not know that a proposal was coming. He was so excited and wanted to make sure that I did not figure out anything to ruin his time to shine.He invited some of our closest friends and family members to what I thought was just a "normal cookout."Little did I know that for months he had a ring hidden at his house and was stirring up a plan in that busy mind of his. The man that I love and the man that I have always prayed for chose ME. The man that I love with my whole heart wanted to MARRY ME. He actually wants to spend the rest of his days with me (poor fella, bless him.. does he really know what he is getting himself into??) The best part of "Our Story" is that Bryer adores Steven more than I could ever put into words and loves him so much.I am so glad that Bryer and I get to love Steven forever and always. We are so excited, nervous, and anxious for our big day but we know that it will be perfect.We are so honored to have you apart of our BIG DAY!!!!!&nbsp; #therickersonwedding&nbsp;
