How to get to Książ Castle from Wrocław
The best way to get to Książ Castle from Wrocław is by taking a regional train to Wałbrzych. These are extremely affordable, with a single ticket costing around 20 PLN (£3.50), and the journey takes approximately an hour. The closest train station is Wałbrzych Szczawienko, around 3-4 km away. Don't get off at Wałbrzych Miasto, as it takes much longer to get to the castle. From there, you can catch a public bus number 8 or 12 to Książ.
One important thing to note is that you need cash for the buses in Wałbrzych – very little cash but still – cash! In Wroclaw, the buses have machines to swipe your credit card. A taxi to the castle costs roughly 31 Zlotys and you can pay with a card.

The hotel, located in three palace annexes, currently constitutes the largest part of the accommodation base in the Książ castle and park complex. The facility, charmingly located on the outskirts of the majestic Książ Castle, perched on a rocky promontory at an altitude of 395 m above sea level, continues the traditions of the former Hochberg residence, which originally served representative functions, attracting and tempting the "crowned heads" of Europe with the extraordinary aura and magic surrounding this place.
Hotel Książ has over 80 beds, offering rooms for 1, 2 and 3 people, suites and apartments. The spacious and truly "princely" bathrooms deserve special attention. The rooms are standardly equipped with a TV, telephone and Wi-Fi access.
