Our Wedding

Max and I first met at the one and only (at the time) Chinese restaurant in town. It was my birthday and I thought he was pretty easy on the eyes. And he must've liked what he saw too because we've been together ever since! 9yrs this September! I was so surprised when he proposed, he caught me completely off guard. We went to the Chinese Lantern Festival at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. I had been bugging him all summer to go, and it was the final weekend for it. We went a bit early and decided to walk around the park. While we waited for it to get dark enough for them to light the lanterns, we headed towards the Japanese gardens. While there, Max started walking slower than usual, and looking around a lot. He had been complaining earlier about not being able to smoke there and I honestly thought he was just trying to sneek in a cigarette! But we found a path that led down to the lake, and I was looking around and observing the pretty little waterfall on the otherside. When I turned around he was down on one knee. It was by far one of my favorite days, with many, many more to come.
