Diane and Nick had been eyeing each other for a while at the notorious Town Pub, with littie to no interaction. Aside from the typical, “what can I get you” and “can I get another beer”, the two didn't really interact. Until one day, Diane decided to disclose to her best friend, Caroline, that she always thought Nick was “very handsome”. So Caroline then took it upon herself to share this news with the one person she knew would make the news get back to Nick, his brother Joe. Joe reassured Diane “don’t worry, I know my brother! He’ll be interested too” and so, embarrassed and nervous Diane continued to go to her shifts fearful that Nick would walk in and she will have the most awkward shift ever. Some time passed and nothing else happened, so Diane had forgotten about it. Until Super Bowl Sunday 2018, Diane decided to not go to a Super Bowl party and hung out with Caroline at the Town Pub. The evening passed and unexpectedly, Nick and his friends Rob and Jarryde walked in. After a trip to the bathroom, Diane finds Nick sitting next to her and the rest has been history.
With many embarrassing, hilarious, memorable moments along the way such as, a first date during an intense snow storm, this couple has had a history of always finding ways to laugh at themselves together. Some of their favorite memories have been during tailgates and sporting events. I mean, does anything sound better evening than a Devil’s win at Prudential center with a celebratory drink at Emerald Corner? Nick even asked Diane to be his girlfriend after a Devil’s game. Diane made it Instagram official after their first Devil’s game together. One of Diane’s favorite dates was when Nick surprised her to go to a Nets game and the two spent the evening in the city celebrating their win. That is why this wedding will incorporate sports. Not only is at the center of the way Diane and Nick have spent time together, but it holds a special place in the groom’s life.
We cannot wait to include you in this important time of our life. We are so fortunate to both have amazing, loving family and friends who have rooted for us along the way. We are so happy to have those who have shared in our happiness of finding one another.
I guess we can say Caroline knew what she was doing and Joe does know his brother.
