Our story starts on a sunny morning on Sunday, October 13th, at a restaurant in Gahanna, Ohio. Diane had just moved from San Francisco after receiving her master's degree in Fashion, and an excellent internship with Abercrombie and Fitch landed her a job in Columbus. We met while Aaron was working as a bartender, working his way to pay for his own master's degree in Education, while also teaching Physical Science. She walked in that day just looking for brunch with Sydney-Raine, but instead, left her phone number on the bill, and the rest is history. From our first date we were inseparable, spending every free moment together and even taking a vacation to New Orleans within just a few months of being together. Two weeks after our trip, COVID 19 shut down our entire world and we had a decision to make; live with each other, or separate until the world opens up again. After 5 months of dating, we made the daring decision to stick together and bunker down at the famous "Condo" in the spring of 2020. Mercy and Brut assimilated well to each other and soon became just as inseparable as their parents.

From there forward we had every intention of spending our lives together. While everyone else was suffering through their various lockdowns, Diane and I were thriving. Continuing our love story in its new form; live-in partners. For weeks we enjoyed each other's company and delved deeper into getting to know each other. Very obviously, we made it through this trying time and eventually Diane had to go back to her apartment in New Albany. To be honest, we were bummed to be separating while everyone else was ecstatic to finally branch out again.

It took another year for Diane and Aaron to move back in with each other when we bought our home in Westerville in June of 2021. Our journey, though we now have an official home base, has been all about the journey and the adventure since then! Various trips to faraway beaches, treacherous hikes and some risky budget hotels have kept our lives fresh and exciting while building our love into something that we are both so proud of.
