Our Wedding

Our journey has been a remarkable adventure, unique and special to us! Weddings hold significance to us because we met in May 2018 at Pete’s cousin’s wedding (shoutout Jetta and Andrew). During the wedding, Pete respectfully asked Dilan’s parents’ if he could dance with her (lol). We danced awkwardly for a few minutes before deciding to get a drink at the bar. We talked for the rest of the wedding and exchanged numbers at the end of the night. Over the next few months, we traveled to various places to meet up, as Pete lived in San Diego and Dilan in Vermont. Exploring new places together soon became a hobby. We started dating in August 2018 when Pete was on a trip home to Maine. He asked Dilan to be his girlfriend on the top of Mount Katahdin! For the next 10 months, we maintained a long-distance relationship through FaceTime, letters, and trips between coasts. Dilan loved San Diego so much that she moved there in July 2019. Pete returned to the East Coast for Dilan’s move. We traveled cross-country, visiting National Parks, camping and hiking, and eating (too many) cheddar dogs. We spent over three years in San Diego together, exploring the West Coast, eating endless Mexican food, and savoring every bay bike ride. We drove back to the East Coast in September 2022 and spent the next 2 years ~vagabonding~. We bounced between our extremely accommodating parents, as well as living in a short-term rental, and making numerous home offers. In September 2024, we finally settled our roots down in Raymond, Maine! Pete proposed at our house two weeks after we moved in, and we watched the sunset excited for our future ahead! We are so happy where we are in life and all we have gone through to get here. Thank you for being a part our journey, you truly mean so much to us. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all on October 2nd!

Lodging

Jay Peak Resort is 15 minutes from our wedding location. We highly recommend staying here as there are shuttle services to the wedding (see "Shuttles" tab) and our welcome party takes place here. To book your lodging, please CALL the Jay Peak Reservations team at 800-451-4449 and provide the room block code: #1130313.&nbsp;(Booking online does not work with the code). The code provides a 10% discount on reservations in the Stateside Hotel, Golf and Mountain Cottages, and Timberline Condominiums.&nbsp;You can book anywhere else on the resort; however, the discount is only applied to the above properties.

Standard hotel rooms with air conditioning, mini-refrigerator,&nbsp;and&nbsp;mountain or valley&nbsp;views. Shuttles will be picking up from this location.

Stateside Hotel - Jay Peak Resort

The Golf &amp; Mountain Cottages sit along the first hole of the Championship Golf Course. All&nbsp;cottages are available in 1- and 2-bedroom configurations, with a full kitchen in each. Please note, these units do not have air conditioning

The Timberline Condominiums are among the newest&nbsp;lodging&nbsp;options at Jay and are located near the Stateside Hotel. The Condominiums range from 1 to 3 bedrooms, all including full kitchens.&nbsp;Larger 3 bedroom units include 2 levels with a second living area on the lower level. Please note, these units do not have air conditioning.

There are several Airbnbs/VRBOs in the area. However, the shuttle will not run to these locations.

The Jay Village Inn exhibits the best of what Vermont has to offer, natural beauty, outstanding food, and northern generosity. There is a wonderful mix of warmth, enthusiasm, and hospitality. The restaurant is rated #1 in Jay Peak Area. Please note shuttles do not run to this location.

Ubers/Taxis are limited or non-existent in this area. Please plan accordingly. Shuttles will be available from Stateside Hotel at Jay Peak Resort for the Wedding.

Welcome Party Shuttles

Shuttles will run continuously to and from the Welcome Party at Tower Bar. If you are staying in a condo, you may call 7777 to request a ride. If you are staying at Stateside Hotel, the front desk can call for you. You may also drive and park in front of Jay Peak Resort. The walk is ~.7 miles.

Wedding Day Shuttles

Shuttle Pickup:3:30pm - Shuttles depart Stateside Hotel to Windy River Farm. (Recommend arriving to Stateside at 3:15pm). If you are not staying at Stateside Hotel, and don't want to walk there for the shuttle, you may park your car at Stateside and pick your car up in the morning. Shuttle Dropoff:9:00pm - First shuttle pickup from Windy River Farm9:30pm - Second shuttle pickup from Windy River Farm10:00pm - Third shuttle pickup from Windy River Farm10:30pm - Final shuttle pickup from Windy River Farm You will be dropped off to any location you are staying within Jay Peak Resort (condos or hotels).

Get a beautiful look at Dilan's home state (and a little bit of Canada) from the top of Jay Peak via the Aerial Tram.

Tram Rides

Dilan and her sister Kelly hiked over Jay Peak in 2013 when they hiked the VT Long Trail. There are so many hikes! Dilan and Pete recommend the Pond Loop for a quick morning coffee walk.

Hiking

One of Pete's favorite features about Jay Peak! The park is open at 12:00pm on Friday - enjoy a few rides before you head home!

Pump House Indoor Waterpark

Pete loves a round of disc. Checkout the course that includes sweeping panoramic views, elevation change, wooded and open holes, water hazards, and some interesting features unique to Jay.
