A day to enjoy summer in the city like a local. We will enjoy a chilled afternoon at the legendary sporting beach club, a no-frills seaside haven. Relax and unwind with an Al Maza and some salted carrots, do some lapse in the pool, and experience what it means to be a Beiruti.
Total Cost: Entrance fee for Sporting beach club is approximately USD30. Food and drinks are optional, and can be ordered off the menu, however we recommend you account another USD 3o or so for this.
We will be embarking on an extensive walking tour of some of the most eclectic neighborhoods of Beirut (look forward to some delicious and authentic street food snacks), where we will be guided by our super cool bilingual (French and English) tour guide Georges! Georges is a professional guide with a background in archeology, but don't expect a "normal" storytelling of the city. He will be taking us through its ancient history, politics, the civil war, and much more, in his own unique and fascinating way.
This tour will be between 9.30am-2.30pm, and will begin at Martyr's Square (It's on google maps). It’s a full walking tour and will be under the Beirut summer sun, so please dress accordingly. Eat a hefty breakfast before hand (very easily done in our foodie city) and hydrate. We will pick up water and coffee along the way. If you get tired, you’re more than welcome to leave the tour whenever you’d like!
Total cost: Between USD12-16 a head for the walking tour, depending on demand. Please note that this does not include water or street food, so please bring another USD 10 or so with you.
The time and venue of our welcome drinks has changed! But not to fret, this one is even nicer than the last!
Welcome drink: As of 7.30pm at Titans, Batroun (Above Le Marin seafood restaurant. Look for the stairs at the left of the restaurant entrance. There is Valet for those that are driving.)
Dress code: Smart casual
Details: An open bar of local wine and beer will be provided, along with vodka, whisky, and mixers. Shared finger foods (Not Lebanese) will also be provided, so if you need more, we suggest you have a bite to eat before hand.
Please note that the bride and groom will be coming straight to Titans from their church ceremony (a short walk away). For those coming to the Church ceremony, please be there at 6.45pm sharp. The church itself is very small, and can only be accessed by foot, so if you’re driving you need to park close by and walk.
The church is called ‘Our Lady of the Sea Church’, or ‘Saydet el Bahr’, and is on google maps.
A bus will depart from Batroun at 9.30AM (All those staying in Byblos can walk to the meeting point). Two local guides will be meeting us at the drop off location at 10am. Marcelle will be taking one group and guiding them in English, while the other guide, Yazid, will be conducting the guide in French.
Over the next two hours, the guides will take you through the beautiful, historic archeological site of the Phoenician citadel of Byblos, as well as the old town and the port. They will drop you off at the entrance of the souk, where you will have half an hour or so to roam the shops.
The price of this tour will be somewhere between USD 11-16 depending on the demand, plus another 8000 LBP (roughly USD 5) for the site entrance fee. We will be collecting money in the days leading up to the tour, however please take the 8000 LBP/5 USD in cash with you to pay for the site entrance fee.
The bus will then depart from the same drop off point at 1PM to IXSIR, our favorite winery in Lebanon. The bus ride is about half an hour long inland.
Here, we will enjoy a delicious set menu Lunch priced at USD 45 under the mulberry trees, (the chef at IXSIR is well renowned for his take on contemporary Lebanese food), followed by a winery tour. Again, we will have one group take the tour in English, and the other in French. There is an optional wine tasting for those interested, that is priced at an additional cost of USD 10. Wine can of course be ordered at an additional expense.
The bus will be departing from ISXIR at around 5.30/6PM, with the first drop off point being Batroun, and the second Byblos. We can also arrange for the bus to do a Beirut drop off for anyone that is returning back to Beirut.
Cost breakdown:
Byblos tour & entrance fee: Roughly USD 20
Ixsir lunch & Winery tour: USD 45+ depending on how much you decide to drink and whether or not you do the wine tasting.

Spend the day before the wedding chilling in this Greece-like seaside village. Splash around in the beautiful blue Mediterranean sea, sunbathe on the rocks, and eat Lebanese seafood to your hearts content. Come relax before the big day!
For those who plan to join us in Anfeh, we have organized a set menu of fresh Lebanese seafood and Mezze at Wissam Al Bahar for USD 35 per person. This also includes one local beer (Al Maza) and a beach lounger. More drinks can of course be ordered; however, they will be a separate expense. Please note that Anfeh is not a fancy beach resort with a pool. It is a very kitschy maze of makeshift terraces painted in white and blue (think 1960’s Greek islands) on the sea. Please bring your own towels/beach mats with you. We also encourage people to stop off at the Deir El Natour Monastery for a visit (so bring appropriate clothing) as it’s just beautiful, and a short 5 minutes drive from our beach spot.
Total cost: USD 35+ depending on how much you want to drink
