Our Love Story

In the land of top thrills and rollercoasters, there was a girl from Ohio and guy from Michigan. Dina and James began their love story at the Cedar Point Amusement Park. He was shy with a sweet smile and she was a social butterfly chatting it up with some fun ladies in the pool. They met at the water park swim up bar and instantly made a connection.  Dina made James feel at ease. He made her laugh and smile. They decided to spend more time together exploring the park and beach. James explained he was the odd man out when it came to having a ride partner. He was vacationing with his parents and sister’s family. Cedar Point was a favorite Walker family summer vacation spot. Dina had the pleasure of meeting his family for the first time that day. It was the perfect day to meet the love of your life!   Later that night, James asked Dina to take a walk on the white sandy beach. Under the twinkling stars they shared their hopes and dreams for the future. They found out they wanted the same things in life. James was falling for this girl from Ohio. They both realized how lucky they were to have met. James was Mr. Wonderful and Dina knew in her heart they had something special together.   James asked Dina to come back in the morning for breakfast. She didn’t hesitate and met James early the next day. Little did she know it was his birthday! Breakfast was enjoyed and James was celebrated. They held hands and talked about how two people living 5 hours from one another could spend more time together. James promised Dina he would see her again soon.   James kept his word and quickly came back to Ohio to see Dina. They went on a date to Cleveland. Dina took James to her favorite spots on South Bass Island in search of beach glass. They took as many trips up and down the Lake Erie shoreline as they could that fall. He invited her to experience peaceful northern Michigan. Dina couldn’t say no to Mr Wonderful. She had never been north of Troy and loved a good adventure. He took her to the peaceful JBAR family cabin. He was determined to show her how beautiful life up north could be. He took her on a river boat float down the AuSable River, kayaking and hiking. He showed her all his favorite spots. His plan to make her fall in love with him and northern Michigan was working! They continued to travel back and forth. Ohio to Michigan and back again until Dina said goodbye to her life in Ohio. James welcomed Dina with open arms and they have been madly in love ever since.  Every year on the day they met at Cedar Point, James would take Dina on an adventure to celebrate their love story. Three years from the day they met, on August 15 2020, James took Dina on a fairytale waterfall tour in the Upper Peninsula. Exploring, hiking, and enjoying their day together was everything she hoped for. It was the perfect day with her Mr Wonderful! James found a beautiful secluded waterfall, got down on one knee and asked Dina to be his wife.   She said yes!   Thank you for joining in the celebration of James and Dina’s wedding and love story!

James and Dina have instead set up a Honeymoon Fund for their dream getaway to Maui.   James and Dina have been blessed with a home full of belongings for the start of their married life together. All they hope for is to spend their special day together with family and friends, and take a beautiful trip as husband and wife to Maui.
