Lucas and I met while working at the same company in South Carolina. I had just started at the company and was living with a friend of mine (and bridesmaid), Xanna, while I transitioned into the job. Her husband, Travis, and Lucas worked together. Travis knew Lucas and I shared a mutual love for hockey and decided we should meet. So one fateful chicken finger Sunday at Xan and Trav's pool, Lucas and I were introduced and we hit it off immediately. Not long after we met, Xanna and I went to Martina's (another bridesmaid) wedding in Newport, RI and I changed my flight to come back early so I could have dinner with Lucas. The rest is history...Lucas happened to be buying a house at the time and I hadn't settled on a place to live in South Carolina yet so after approximately 3 weeks, we moved in together (all gas, no brakes!). I guess we wanted to find out quickly just how much we liked each other. Within 6 months, we had a new house, 2 puppies, a cat, and a lifetime ahead of us!

As a side note, the first time I ever saw Lucas was in the parking lot at work and he was in his convertible wearing Pit Viper sunglasses with two hockey sticks sticking out the back. Travis mentioned that is who he wanted to set me up with and I certainly wasn't convinced at that point. He has done well to rebound from that first impression!

From South Carolina to Charlottesville and hundreds of adventures in between, there is never a dull moment in our house! We are so excited to welcome everyone to Charlottesville and can't wait to celebrate!
