The #Stevia love story began the summer of 2016 in the most romantic way possible...over Tinder. Divya was merely weeks away from turning 21 and Steve had just graduated college and moved back to Milwaukee to start working at the world-renowned coffeeshop Colectivo. They both felt it was time they try to meet someone, so they decided to hop on the hot new iPhone dating app called Tinder. Steve had fallen upon Divyas profile and her dark, shiny hair urged him to swipe right. Divya saw Steves profile and felt the same thing about him. After some back and forth messages on and off the app and with enough convincing from friends, Divya and Steve finally had their first date in June 2016 at the Lakefront Festival of Art in MKE (very much on brand for the both of them). Soon enough, Steve was attending all of Divyas sorority date parties and formals, and Divya was finally able to join Steve and his friends at the bars. They cooked, went on long nature walks, rode bikes, explored MKE (and literally every food/dessert place in the city), and did anything and everything together! Their lives began to intertwine and they fell deeper for each others love of life, food, music, travel, and family. From sharing the nastiest 300sq ft apartment near Marquettes campus to visiting each other across the country while Divya was on PT rotations to living in a New Girl look-a-like loft with a balcony garden facing the Clock Tower, the two have truly lived through it all together. Even better, the Shahs and Nicolets fit together as if theyve been family their whole lives. The two, as well as everyone around them, truly feel they are a match made in heaven, and this is all meant to be (did we mention they even share clothes?). Divya and Steve have grown so much over the last 6+ years (as individuals and as a couple) and have seen so much of the world. They are so excited to continue on that path together for the rest of their lives and with their favorite people by their side. Cant wait to celebrate with you all on September 22!
