First Church of God in Oak Grove, Kade’s home church, has been so kind to also honor Dixie with a bridal shower on November 30, 2025 at 2:00pm.

We are so excited for today, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you! Here are a few things to note today to ensure we all have the best time!﻿

1. The venue is outside! Please keep that in mind when picking out your outfit today. While Louisiana weather is unpredictable, it is looking like it may be on the cooler side today. Please see the Q + A tab for more details on the dress code.

2. If you are traveling to the wedding via I-20 West, please be aware that there is some minor construction between Ruston and Minden. If you are traveling to the wedding via I-20 East, you will have to travel through the Shreveport/Bossier construction. Please be aware of this construction and its possible influence on your arrival time!

Our perfect love story

It all started on April 22nd, 2019 when Kade (15) sent me (15) a post on Instagram that contained a pickup line which read, "Are you Copper and Tellurium, because you are CuTe?" Not the best tactic, but it must have worked because we have been together ever since! After a few months of talking and a first date at the Fiske Theater, we made it official on July 4th, 2019 (sparks were really flying lol)! From then on, we had an absolute blast getting to know each other and falling in love through those awkward high school dances, many, many lunch dates, three rounds of Covid, countless finals weeks, quite a few walks, a year of "long" distance, and so much more. One of the best parts about marrying your high school sweetheart is that you have experienced so many of life's ups and downs together, and we are so thankful that God gave us each other to have in both the good and bad. However, Kade and I believe that the best thing about marrying your High School Sweetheart is all of the firsts and onlys you get to experience with one another. I will never forget the moment I watched Kade win his first football state championship or the time that Kade took me to my first sleepaway camp (at the age of 17). Kade drove my first car, I helped him apply for college, and we each watched the other be named Valedictorians of our graduating classes. We are both so thankful for the memories we share from high school and that we will be able to keep them forever. Kade began attending Louisiana Tech in the Fall of 2021, and even though I told everyone I wasn't choosing Tech because of him (which of mostly true), I knew I really didn't want to be somewhere that he wasn't. In 2022 when I finally made my own home in Ruston, our relationship continued to grow and flourish. Kade introduced me to all of his friends, I brought him to all of Phi Mu's date parties, and we hung out almost every day (a much-needed change from a year of "long" distance). College has truly given us the best opportunity to be each other's teammates, in both the moments of celebration and the mundane: Kade helped me make a resume for my first "big girl" job, I watched and cheered him on as he accepted an amazing internship, and we shut down the library on a few occasions, all while we slowly learned (and are still learning) how to become better adults. Even as we have entered our sixth year of dating, Kade still finds ways to give me butterflies and we never skip an opportunity to spend even a few minutes in each other's presence. I am so incredibly thankful that we are still so giddy and excited to love one another even after what seems like a lifetime of dating. On October 2nd, 2024 (my 21st birthday), Kade got down on one knee (something he and Daisy had been planning for months). To say I was surprised was an understatement, but it was and always will be my easiest "yes!" Kade and I are so thankful for the life the Lord has given us and we are so excited for what is to come. Our wedding day is something that I have imagined a thousand times over, but I still can't believe that my dream is soon to become reality. We are absolutely thrilled to marry each other and we can't wait to celebrate with some of our favorite people.

Our Best Friends!!

When deciding who I wanted to stand beside me when I married my best friend, I realized how overwhelmingly blessed I am. I have always prayed that God would place people in my life that support and love me like no other, and boy has He delivered over the years. This bridal party is made up of some of the most important women in my life and I couldn't imagine my wedding day without any of them.

Another amazing Phi Mu friend! Kade actually told us both individually that we would be good friends, and, well, he was right! We starting hanging out during my 1st quarter at Tech and haven't stopped since!

What a friend she is! Baily, Daisy, and I became friends in 2019 during a time where we were all looking for someone to lean on. Baily was truly an answered prayer and I am so thankful for her continuous friendship over the years! Oh, and she even played a part in getting me and Kade together :))))

Emily and I met through so many different things at Tech, but it wasn't until we both began our terms on Panhellenic that we became close, and we haven't separated since! Emily is almost always my first call about anything because I know she will either know the answer or give me true, loving advice!

My sorority Big!! Katie is truly the best person to have as a role model not only in Phi Mu, but in all of my college experiences! Katie is a constant reminder that I never have to compromise my faith to fit a certain mold, and I should always chase my dreams!

Megan has always been such a loyal and constant friend for me and I couldn't be happier to have known her and be loved by her for so many years!

Brody picked me out in our very first class at Tech and immediately started calling himself my best friend (he hasn't stopped). Whether it's poker nights, football games, or trips across the states, I know Brody is going to keep my weekends busy! Single

I also met Carson on my first day at Tech! He may be Brody's twin, but he's just like me in the way he's practical, ambitious, and honest to a fault. He is one of the smartest and kindest people I know - and he's single. Fun Fact: Carson Helped me pick out Dixie's ring!

Jack and I were in the youth group at church together, and our relationship has snowballed from there. He is hands down the hardest working, selfless, most easygoing man that I know (and my all time favorite college roommate). Happily married, sorry ladies.

Where do I begin? After going to high school together, Jarrett has been my roommate for my entire college tenure. He takes long showers and even longer naps.
