Our story began during the Thanksgiving holiday in 2022. A match on Hinge brought us together for the first time. Soon, Atoboy restaurant welcomed our first visit. While the innovative Korean cuisine was astonishing, and the fried chicken that's never sold separately was a real eye-opener, none of it compared to the wonderful attraction and chemistry between us. With a few trips back and forth between Miami and New York, our story officially began.

Not long after, we moved to Jersey City and built a home of our own. If you have the chance to observe this home, you'll notice many details. There are seaside photos hanging at the entrance and a small 5×6 photo wall, a little wine cabinet storing Opus One, and fridge magnets from the Smithsonian American Art Museum—all carrying our shared beautiful memories. From strolling along the beaches of Hawaii, experiencing the dazzling nights of Las Vegas, enjoying the jazz culture of New Orleans, to exploring the historical charm of Boston, as we traveled more together, the distance between our hearts grew ever closer.

Of course, the significance of two people lies more in everyday life. I'm a hedge fund trader, and she's an M&A banker; we both work in Midtown Manhattan. A five-minute walk between our offices carries much of the pressure and joy of work. Mutual understanding and sharing add a special color to our daily lives. We enjoy organizing and participating in events—whether it's discussing interesting Florida Man cases with a Florida prosecutor, learning wine tasting from a WSET Level 4 master, or brainstorming with a medicinal cuisine chef on how to make a splash with the combination of Chinese medicine and cuisine in Brooklyn—we've gained like-minded friends and broadened our horizons. We also enjoy staying home, discussing the meaning of life in Daniel Pink's A Whole New Mind, talking about the difficulty and exquisite design of the game Black Myth: Wukong, and exploring the truths behind the documentary on The Menendez Brothers. Life flows through these little moments, leaving behind beautiful and abundant vitality.
