From Family Reunion to Forever

One swampy summer evening of 2023, Dominic and Lily had no idea their lives would change forever at the annual family reunion. The two hit it off like no other cousins there. Dominic didn’t want the night to end, so he made sure to gain Lily as a plus one to the following weekends midget wrestling tournament at the county fair. Their love sprang as their shared a first kiss over a corn dog, as the famed “Nacho Shortman” was launched out of the ring by his opponent. It was like fireworks in that moment as the crowds cheered simultaneously. Just kidding. Dominic and Lily met through CatholicMatch in the Summer of 2023. Both brushed off the idea of actually being able to meet someone on the app. Dominic’s father suggested he use it to meet a good Catholic girl, to which Dominic scoffed at the idea. But he went for it anyway. Lily was using the app “as a joke” with her cousin Kennedy (…riiiiiight…). The two truly did hit it off immediately as they shared many things in common (such as their love for the Lord and movie soundtracks). After many adventurous first dates, the pair fell in love quickly with Christ at the center. And now they wait not so patiently to receive the sacrament and live as one soul and sanctify each other, so that they may meet again in Eternal Life.
