On a crisp November night in 2018, both Dominic and Tatiana were invited to join in on watching and celebrating their good friend Amber say "I do" to the love of her life Mike. This is where their story began. She seated them at the same table along with other mutual friends. Having never met, they kept their distance while still being polite. They enjoyed the rest of the night celebrating with their respective friends that were at the wedding. They each went about their own lives after the wedding, thinking they may never see each other again. Little did they know, over the next 10 months they would run into each other at different events that Amber would invite them to.


Finally, in September 2019, Amber asked them to assist her in painting the inside of her house. During this time, Dominic was having a conversation with Mike about going to dinner at a local Brazilian steakhouse and Tatiana overheard that he had no one to go with. From across the room, Tatiana said "I'll go with you!", taking a leap of faith to go to dinner with a man she had barely had any communication with. They started planning this dinner and low and behold everyone else wanted to join in too. So much for that being a first date, right? The following Monday, they ALL went to dinner. After dinner Dominic walked Tatiana to her car and told her to text him when she got home to make sure she got home safe, so Tatiana did. That night while texting he officially asked her out on their first date (Tatiana just didn't realize it was a date). They went to the movies and then continued to go out on more dates the rest of that week. Neither of them ever looked back.


Fast forward to 2022, their 2-year anniversary of them closing on their home was coming up and Dominic wanted to take Tatiana to their favorite brunch place to celebrate. She worked it out so they could go around lunch time. Little did she know that was going to be the day that she said YES to being with him for the rest of her life. He had his part planned out. She had her suspicions but had let them go so she could just enjoy the day. After lunch, he took her to take pictures at Cranes Roost by the crane statue. He stopped a random person from their work out to take pictures of them. After 2 pictures the man asked if the photos were good enough. Dominic showed them to Tatiana and proceeded to ask the man to take some more. The man obliged and as soon as he walked back to pose with Tatiana, he got down on one knee surprising her and asking her the one question she has always dreamt of hearing "Tatiana Cruz, Will you marry me?". Without hesitation, Tatiana started crying and said "Yes!".
