The bride's best friend of 20 years who has shared all the heartaches and joys of my adult life. The one person I am completely silly with and rarely serious. Gosh, we've sure had some good times dancing the night away. I've had so much fun with you throughout my lifetime and I know we're going to be those two cute little old ladies being silly and laughing at everything. She reminds me that I never have enough fun, I work too hard taking care of others, and I deserve some time for myself in what makes me find joy. She's my center in a tornado, my middle of the night when crying my eyes out phone call when my world was falling apart, (which only happened once I believe), lol. She gets me and we have the type of relationship that has silent communication without words, but yet we fully understand and support each other through life's tribulations and victories. We had family movie nights, sang karaoke while we danced the night away, went bowling, and she came with us to to all those fun; yet exhausting holiday events. She was there so I wasn't alone through all the chaos. Her bright smile and cheery disposition always lightened up my day. She is a total rock star, talented singer, and go-getter. After 15 years of friendship, I watched her use her positivity to spread sunshine and light through her music and talented song writing to inspire people all over the world. In fact, we will be playing one of her songs at the wedding! Because when I first heard her perform that song live I felt it in my soul that although I was a divorced, single mom, who wasn't interested in dating; I knew it would play at my wedding day one day! The groom's daughter. She's sweet, funny, wonderfully witty, and daddy's little princess. Sloan and her brother, (Talan), grew up with my kids, (Daymion, Jonah, and Kalea). As far back as I can remember, Sloan has always had a big smile on her face and she loves to joke around. Her infectious laugh will make you giggle. She was actually the first one to suggest that we start dating, then she played match maker in her own little adorable ways. I've watched her grow from a tiny baby into a kind young lady. The bride's cousin for all my life, and my sister from another mister since I can remember. We went high school together and shared so many experiences throughout the years. We leaned on each other as we took separate paths hundreds of miles apart and never lost that bond. I love that we can catch up and talk like no time was missed. After 13 years the bride's friend and reputable pastor will be officiating our marriage ceremony. Pastor Rick was there during my rocky marriage and helped remind me to seek the Lord for comfort through my divorce and long custody battle, cancer treatment, and grieving the loss of my mother. His words always resignate within my soul. I watch him online preach once to twice a week and I enjoy how he connects history to God's word. He speaks simply with detail so that we all can understand his message. Thank you Rick for being God's messenger. I feel joyous and thankful to have my fellow brother in Christ to bless our marriage. Such a blessing in itself.
