Our story began December of 2018 in Chicago when Jake asked Dominique out to “compare who has the better smile”.

Our first date was at Goose Island Brewery watching Sunday Night Football (a favorite activity for both of us!).

The spark between us ignited very quickly.

Jake enlightened Dominique on what life was like to grow up on a farm and raising animals.

Dominique enthralled Jake with elaborate stories about her Italian roots and the places she had traveled. In fact, Jake doesn’t remember who won the game!

Though coming from two completely different backgrounds, we had similar personalities and were shocked that we could outtalk each other! Neither of us wanted that first date feeling to end. In fact, we filled our calendars with coffee study dates, tailgates, family dinners, throwing parties and traveling.

Together, Dominique and Jake have visited numerous countries, doing everything from rafting in Idaho to traversing a fjord in Norway.

Jake has been there for Dominique throughout her 4 years of dental school and 2 years of pediatric residency training at Children's Hospital Colorado, while he continues to close real estate deals at First Industrial.

We believe that our bond has been tested, becoming even stronger as we have been long-distance for the past two years while Dominique was completing her residency! While it feels like we have already known each other for a long time, we are excited to be reunited, back in Chicago to begin our lifetime together!
