On the Lower Macleay Trail, this old stone building with no roof is surrounded by dense woodland. A 12-minute hike from the road to the witch's castle. Make sure you have good shoes for this small hike.

QuarterWorld Arcade

You can park at the trailhead, east of 84. Or at the bridge (day fee or permit required, restrooms available). It is a bit more than 2 miles. The way to the falls is mainly uphill bit not too strenuous, following the Pacific Crest trail. Before you cross the bridge you go right and the falls are at the end.

American eatery with clubby bar, founded in 1879, is known for Spanish coffee. Very cute vintage Portland vibes.

The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium and Museum

Since its 1915 opening, this historic elementary school has been a beloved fixture of its Northeast Portland neighborhood. McMenamins renovated the once-abandoned scholastic gem and turned it into Portland's most unique hotel. Here you'll find 57 comfy guestrooms&nbsp;with&nbsp;private baths and telephones&nbsp;(some fashioned from former classrooms&nbsp;complete with original chalkboards and cloakrooms –&nbsp;others with an author's theme), a restaurant, multiple small bars, a movie theater, soaking pool, gift shop&nbsp;and a brewery (just wait until the principal hears about this!). Extensive original artwork and historical photographs cover the walls, ceilings, doorways and hallways.

Mount Tabor is the name of a volcanic cinder cone, the city park on the volcano, and the neighborhood of Southeast Portland that surrounds it.
