Dress Code:

Attire: Formal. Women should wear floor-length dresses, and men should wear a suit and tie. Weather: November temperatures in Guatemala City average 55°F at night. We recommend bringing a coat. Heaters will be available in the reception area.

Ceremony and Reception:

The ceremony and reception will take place at the same outdoor location. The reception will take place in a garden—watch your heels on the grass and consider bringing an extra pair of comfortable shoes for dancing! Shuttles will transport guests from the hotel to the ceremony. Return shuttles to hotels will run at various times throughout the night. Stay tuned for more details on the exact pickup location and shuttle schedule.

Hotels:

See the Travel section for room block details.

Airport:

La Aurora International Airport (GUA)

Transportation:

Uber is available in Guatemala. However, we highly recommend booking airport transfers and excursion transportation in advance through the company listed in the Travel section.

When should I fly in/out?

Your arrival depends on how you’d like to spend your time. We recommend flying in by Friday at the latest or Wednesday/Thursday if you’d like to explore any of the destinations listed in the "Things To Do" tab. Traffic in Guatemala City is heavy, especially from 5–8 PM, so allow plenty of time for travel.

Food and Water Precautions:

We recommend drinking bottled water and avoiding ice at restaurants when possible to prevent stomach issues. The food is delicious—don’t miss the chance to try traditional dishes!

What should I pack?

Guatemala enters its dry season in November, with little chance of rain. Temperatures average 73°F during the day and 55°F at night. At 4,900 feet above sea level, Guatemala City feels cooler than other tropical destinations, especially in the mornings and evenings. We recommend bringing a jacket and layering if you get cold easily.

Events Hosted By The Couple:
