Dominique's&nbsp;POV:&nbsp;Where&nbsp;do&nbsp;I&nbsp;even&nbsp;begin?!&nbsp;Jacob&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;met&nbsp;at&nbsp;Home&nbsp;Depot&nbsp;when&nbsp;we&nbsp;were&nbsp;in&nbsp;college.&nbsp;I&nbsp;worked&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;customer&nbsp;service&nbsp;desk,&nbsp;and&nbsp;he&nbsp;worked&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;garden&nbsp;department.&nbsp;We&nbsp;started talking because I noticed the cross necklace he wore, and I asked "do you wear that because it means something or for fashion," and Jacob told me that he wore it because he is a Christ follower. I quickly learned that Jacob was the most different man I have ever met in the most beautiful way. We&nbsp;went&nbsp;out&nbsp;on&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;date,&nbsp;which&nbsp;was&nbsp;the&nbsp;most&nbsp;random&nbsp;but&nbsp;memorable&nbsp;date&nbsp;I&nbsp;have&nbsp;ever&nbsp;been&nbsp;on&nbsp;lol&nbsp;and&nbsp;after&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;date,&nbsp;we didn't go&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;second&nbsp;date&nbsp;because&nbsp;I&nbsp;realized&nbsp;I&nbsp;wasn't&nbsp;ready&nbsp;to&nbsp;fully&nbsp;commit&nbsp;to&nbsp;a&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;and&nbsp;thought&nbsp;J&nbsp;deserved&nbsp;someone&nbsp;who&nbsp;could&nbsp;be fully present.&nbsp;A&nbsp;few&nbsp;months&nbsp;went&nbsp;by,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;driving&nbsp;home&nbsp;from&nbsp;church&nbsp;and&nbsp;asked&nbsp;the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;why&nbsp;was&nbsp;it&nbsp;so&nbsp;hard&nbsp;to&nbsp;find&nbsp;a&nbsp;good,&nbsp;Christian&nbsp;man.&nbsp;I&nbsp;heard&nbsp;the&nbsp;Holy&nbsp;Spirit&nbsp;say&nbsp;"why&nbsp;not&nbsp;Jacob,"&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;had&nbsp;texted&nbsp;him&nbsp;once&nbsp;I&nbsp;got&nbsp;home&nbsp;after&nbsp;months&nbsp;of&nbsp;not&nbsp;speaking&nbsp;to&nbsp;one&nbsp;another beyond the typical work jargon,&nbsp;and&nbsp;to&nbsp;my&nbsp;surprise&nbsp;he&nbsp;said&nbsp;yes&nbsp;to&nbsp;hanging&nbsp;out.&nbsp;We&nbsp;went&nbsp;out&nbsp;on&nbsp;our&nbsp;second first&nbsp;date&nbsp;in&nbsp;downtown&nbsp;Belleville.&nbsp;We&nbsp;got&nbsp;ice&nbsp;cream,&nbsp;walked&nbsp;around,&nbsp;sat&nbsp;by&nbsp;the&nbsp;lake&nbsp;and&nbsp;talked&nbsp;for&nbsp;hours.&nbsp;We&nbsp;began&nbsp;dating&nbsp;a&nbsp;week&nbsp;later,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;have&nbsp;navigated&nbsp;long&nbsp;distance&nbsp;for&nbsp;2&nbsp;1/2&nbsp;years,&nbsp;going&nbsp;through&nbsp;college,&nbsp;career&nbsp;changes,&nbsp;splitting&nbsp;up&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;time&nbsp;period&nbsp;and&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;growing&nbsp;pains&nbsp;of&nbsp;becoming&nbsp;independent&nbsp;adults.&nbsp;Through&nbsp;it&nbsp;all&nbsp;God&nbsp;has&nbsp;always&nbsp;been&nbsp;faithful&nbsp;to&nbsp;us.&nbsp;Our&nbsp;story&nbsp;more&nbsp;than&nbsp;anything&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;reflection&nbsp;of&nbsp;God's&nbsp;goodness&nbsp;and&nbsp;faithfulness.&nbsp;We&nbsp;wouldn't&nbsp;share&nbsp;the&nbsp;love&nbsp;we&nbsp;have&nbsp;if&nbsp;it&nbsp;wasn't&nbsp;for&nbsp;love&nbsp;of&nbsp;God&nbsp;that&nbsp;we&nbsp;abide&nbsp;in,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;wouldn't&nbsp;have&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;if&nbsp;it&nbsp;wasn't&nbsp;for&nbsp;God's&nbsp;divine&nbsp;intervention.&nbsp;The&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;has&nbsp;blessed&nbsp;us&nbsp;with&nbsp;so&nbsp;many&nbsp;wonderful&nbsp;memories&nbsp;and&nbsp;laughs&nbsp;together,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;cannot&nbsp;wait&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;beautiful&nbsp;things&nbsp;God&nbsp;is&nbsp;going&nbsp;to&nbsp;do&nbsp;through&nbsp;and&nbsp;for&nbsp;our&nbsp;marriage. Jacob's&nbsp;POV:&nbsp;Man&nbsp;it's&nbsp;been&nbsp;a&nbsp;ride,&nbsp;mostly&nbsp;because&nbsp;Dominique&nbsp;ensures&nbsp;it's&nbsp;never&nbsp;boring&nbsp;with&nbsp;her&nbsp;feisty&nbsp;personality,&nbsp;but&nbsp;I&nbsp;love&nbsp;every&nbsp;part&nbsp;of&nbsp;it&nbsp;and&nbsp;her!&nbsp;We&nbsp;first&nbsp;crossed&nbsp;paths&nbsp;even&nbsp;before&nbsp;I&nbsp;began&nbsp;working&nbsp;at&nbsp;Home&nbsp;Depot,&nbsp;coming&nbsp;out&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;height&nbsp;of&nbsp;COVID&nbsp;towards&nbsp;the&nbsp;end&nbsp;of&nbsp;2020.&nbsp;My&nbsp;mom&nbsp;was&nbsp;picking&nbsp;up&nbsp;an&nbsp;order&nbsp;from&nbsp;Home&nbsp;Depot&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;happened&nbsp;to&nbsp;tag&nbsp;along&nbsp;that&nbsp;day,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Dominique&nbsp;was&nbsp;our&nbsp;cashier.&nbsp;We&nbsp;didn't&nbsp;speak&nbsp;a&nbsp;word&nbsp;to&nbsp;each&nbsp;other,&nbsp;and&nbsp;it&nbsp;was&nbsp;just&nbsp;a&nbsp;normal&nbsp;transaction.&nbsp;I&nbsp;began&nbsp;working&nbsp;at&nbsp;Home&nbsp;Depot&nbsp;a&nbsp;couple&nbsp;months&nbsp;later,&nbsp;and&nbsp;started&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;a&nbsp;liking&nbsp;to&nbsp;her&nbsp;as&nbsp;we&nbsp;interacted&nbsp;more&nbsp;and&nbsp;more&nbsp;at&nbsp;work.&nbsp;Our&nbsp;love&nbsp;of&nbsp;Christ&nbsp;is&nbsp;what&nbsp;initiated&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;conversations,&nbsp;and&nbsp;soon&nbsp;enough&nbsp;I&nbsp;found&nbsp;myself&nbsp;waiting&nbsp;specifically&nbsp;for&nbsp;her&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;available&nbsp;when&nbsp;I&nbsp;would&nbsp;bring&nbsp;customers&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;cash&nbsp;out,&nbsp;just&nbsp;to&nbsp;get&nbsp;a&nbsp;couple&nbsp;minutes&nbsp;with&nbsp;her.&nbsp;I&nbsp;always&nbsp;volunteered&nbsp;to&nbsp;pick&nbsp;up&nbsp;our&nbsp;returns&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;service&nbsp;desk&nbsp;to&nbsp;have&nbsp;another&nbsp;excuse&nbsp;to&nbsp;cross&nbsp;paths&nbsp;with&nbsp;her.&nbsp;In&nbsp;April&nbsp;2021,&nbsp;I&nbsp;finally&nbsp;worked&nbsp;up&nbsp;the&nbsp;courage&nbsp;to&nbsp;ask&nbsp;her&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;date,&nbsp;but&nbsp;like&nbsp;most&nbsp;guys&nbsp;at&nbsp;22&nbsp;I&nbsp;said&nbsp;"let's&nbsp;hang&nbsp;out"&nbsp;even&nbsp;though&nbsp;we&nbsp;both&nbsp;knew&nbsp;it&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;date.&nbsp;What&nbsp;followed&nbsp;was&nbsp;probably&nbsp;the&nbsp;most&nbsp;poorly&nbsp;planned,&nbsp;spontaneous&nbsp;first&nbsp;date&nbsp;ever&nbsp;but&nbsp;it&nbsp;somehow&nbsp;worked&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;both&nbsp;had&nbsp;a&nbsp;great&nbsp;time!&nbsp;Unfortunately,&nbsp;she&nbsp;was&nbsp;not&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;place&nbsp;to&nbsp;continue&nbsp;dating&nbsp;somebody&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;(sort&nbsp;of)&nbsp;went&nbsp;our&nbsp;separate&nbsp;ways,&nbsp;yet&nbsp;the&nbsp;attraction&nbsp;and&nbsp;conversations&nbsp;were&nbsp;still&nbsp;present&nbsp;every&nbsp;day&nbsp;at&nbsp;work.&nbsp;She&nbsp;texted&nbsp;me&nbsp;a&nbsp;few&nbsp;months&nbsp;later&nbsp;asking&nbsp;if&nbsp;I&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;"hang&nbsp;out",&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;hesitant&nbsp;at&nbsp;first&nbsp;but&nbsp;said&nbsp;yes&nbsp;because&nbsp;I&nbsp;still&nbsp;enjoyed&nbsp;our&nbsp;time&nbsp;together.&nbsp;After&nbsp;our&nbsp;second&nbsp;first&nbsp;date,&nbsp;she&nbsp;showed&nbsp;up&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;random&nbsp;Friday&nbsp;night&nbsp;while&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;working,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;talked&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;outside&nbsp;garden&nbsp;area&nbsp;for&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;an&nbsp;hour&nbsp;while&nbsp;I&nbsp;was&nbsp;sweeping.&nbsp;The&nbsp;conversation&nbsp;flowed&nbsp;so&nbsp;naturally&nbsp;and&nbsp;it&nbsp;was&nbsp;as&nbsp;if&nbsp;no&nbsp;time&nbsp;was&nbsp;lost--it&nbsp;was&nbsp;there&nbsp;where&nbsp;I&nbsp;felt&nbsp;it&nbsp;was&nbsp;time&nbsp;to&nbsp;make&nbsp;things&nbsp;official.&nbsp;A&nbsp;few&nbsp;days&nbsp;later,&nbsp;we&nbsp;started&nbsp;dating.&nbsp;Throughout&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;ups&nbsp;and&nbsp;downs&nbsp;we&nbsp;endured,&nbsp;our&nbsp;love&nbsp;for&nbsp;Jesus&nbsp;has&nbsp;held&nbsp;us&nbsp;together&nbsp;and&nbsp;strengthened&nbsp;us&nbsp;to&nbsp;navigate&nbsp;some&nbsp;very&nbsp;difficult&nbsp;challenges,&nbsp;even&nbsp;coming&nbsp;back&nbsp;together&nbsp;after&nbsp;a&nbsp;short&nbsp;period&nbsp;of&nbsp;being&nbsp;separated.&nbsp;It&nbsp;all&nbsp;has&nbsp;led&nbsp;to&nbsp;where&nbsp;we&nbsp;are&nbsp;now,&nbsp;preparing&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;married&nbsp;and&nbsp;spend&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;of&nbsp;our&nbsp;days&nbsp;together,&nbsp;and&nbsp;it&nbsp;has&nbsp;all&nbsp;happened&nbsp;because&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;and&nbsp;His&nbsp;faithfulness!

Hi, I'm Dominique's younger sister, so I've basically been stuck with her my whole life haha, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. Growing up with Dominique was an adventure. I remember her being like a second mom. When we were younger she would babysit our younger brother, Drew and I, and we always watched Disney movies and Dominique would make us mac n' cheese. Dominique would always let me sleepover in her bed, and we would watch Cinderella or Dr. Dolittle. I have always looked up to Dominique. She has this passion in her veins that motivates her to work for what she wants. She has a fire in her heart for Jesus that I admire. I remember watching her work hard in her academics and thinking I wanted to be like her. As she grew up things changed, she moved out and it was a bittersweet feeling. It made me sad to not see her around, but I was happy for her to move out and be close to Jacob. Dominique has grown into a wonderful young woman. She lights up the room and never fails to make people laugh. Dominique is smart, kind and a loyal person. I'm so happy that she found Jacob, someone she can laugh and be herself with. I love Dominique and Jacob, and I admire the love they share, and how they keep Christ at the center. It is my pleasure to celebrate them and welcome Jacob into the family.

I met Dominique in late 2020 at a young adult small group through our church, and our first impression of one another was not the best haha I thought she was a know it all, and she thought I was stuck up. After meeting and conversing more, we found out we had a lot more in common than we thought. Little did we know that we would become best friends quickly. We would hanging out everyday for months straight before I moved up to northern Michigan. We spent countless hours driving in circles talking about everything, jamming to music, crying together over our difficult seasons because what else were two girls going to do during the height of COVID? After I moved, Dominique moved shortly after back to Ohio, and we went 2 years without seeing each other. We still kept in contact, talked through life's biggest and smallest wins and losses, and when we get the opportunity to talk on the phone or see each other, it's just like when we first became friends, nothing has changed between us. Our friendship has never missed a beat, so it is my joy and honor to stand next to her as she officially becomes Mrs. Hill.

I'm a 21 year old cosmetology student who also LOVES to talk and is always laughing. If I'm not talking, you'll probably find me with a book in my hand. I never miss taking a picture of a sunset. I love to travel, experiment with new sourdough recipes and have recently taken up running!
I met Dominique almost 5 years ago through a small group at our church, and she immediately became like a big sister to me. Over the years we've spent countless hours laughing together, crying together, but most of all, growing together.
I remember Dominique telling me about her first date with Jacob, and I said "you better go out with him again because you're going to marry him!" That's probably the only thing 17 year old me was right about. I could not name a better couple than Dominique and Jacob! They are some of the most loving, fun and sincere people I know! I could not be happier for you both, and it's an honor to stand next to Dominique on her wedding day!

Hello, my name is Hannah! I am an enthusiastic lover of making music, soaking in the beauties of nature and all things health related. I am currently training to become a holistic health practitioner. I like to spend my time cooking, creating and deepening relationships.
Dominique and I met in 2023 at a mutual friend's birthday party. We ended up talking the entire evening, and I'm so glad we did because we've been close friends ever since! We connected quickly and cultivated a sister-like relationship that I'll always be grateful for. We regularly bond over our sourdough aspirations, our shared skepticism of modern medicine, along with deep theological rabbit-holes. And she doesn't know it yet but one day we're going to open a health-consulting business...and maybe start a podcast haha
I am honored to be standing beside one of my favorite people on her big day! Getting to be a part of Dominique and Jacob's story is such a gift; I feel so blessed to be in the lives of this beautiful couple. They are joyful, intentional and so much fun to be around. I can't wait to see what their future holds-and I'm so excited to celebrate them.

Hi, I'm Kacie! I first met Dominique 2 years ago at a young adult ministry through our church. We were split off into groups of three people to pray for one another. Dominique, myself and one more friend of ours were grouped together and we dove right in. Dominique was confident, wise and quickly became a sister in Christ that I wanted to get to know better. Although we started that evening as strangers, we left as friends! We exchanged numbers that evening and within a couple weeks we were getting coffee, filling in the gaps in the stories we already had traded. At this time Jacob and Dominique were not together, but you could hear by the way she spoke of him that their story wasn't over. Over time Dominique confessed that she and Jacob were talking again then back together again, and now heading towards marriage! I am so grateful to be one of the witnesses to God's protection and blessings in Dominique's story over the last couple years, and I am beyond excited to see how the Lord continues to move through Dominique and Jacob as they step into marriage!

We've spent countless hours together, throwing and hitting a baseball, rolling a ball down a lane or sitting with a controller and headset. We have always supported and pushed each other to be better. I wouldn't be who I am today, without Jake. I hope this bride and groom continue this journey of self-improvement together! Hey everyone, my name is Nate! I'm honored to stand by Jake on his big day. We met at UMich, where I saw firsthand his relentless work ethic, contagious positivity, and a growing faith that mirrored my own. Though we now live miles apart-with me in Nashville-we've stayed connected and began sharing weekly calls to strengthen our walk with Jesus for our future families, we're getting married just a month apart from each other. Watching Jake pursue his faith with the same drive he gave his degree is truly inspiring. I'm thankful the Lord brought us together. We share a similar mindset and many common interests-even if he's clearly better at golf. Most importantly, I've found a lifelong brother in Christ-all from a chance meeting at transfer student orientation.

I met Jake eleven years ago during our sophomore year of high school, and we have been friends ever since. We shared 5 out of 6 classes together for a good portion of that year, and we joined forces to become GPA connoisseurs behind the scenes. We bonded very quickly, and consistently lifted each other's spirits with very unserious sayings each day. Jake was always around to crack a joke on some of the worst days or use on of the funniest words from our Spanish vocabulary sheets in casual conversation. We kicked keister and closed our high school years by breaking into the top 10 of our class academically, and continued kicking keister by landing scholarships and each graduating with engineering degrees. The tone of our friendship has rung steady throughout our 20's, and for that, I am super grateful. Jake is one of the funniest, smartest, most loyal people I have come to know, and I am honored to stand beside him on his wedding day.

Hey everybody, I am Dominique's younger brother! Dominique has always been someone I have always looked up to, even now that she's moved out of the house and into the world as an adult. Despite being out of the house, it has not quenched my admiration for her dedication to Christ our Savior, intelligence and her wits. I wished I saw her more often and was able to spend more time with the sister I grew up with for half my childhood. Looking back, I wish I would have spent more time with her while she was still living at home. Growing up, I was always a pest to her, annoying her because that's what brothers do. We didn't spend much time together growing up because of the large age gap between us (9 years) and not sharing a ton of similarities, but I'm here to say that Dominique is one of the best sisters I could have ever wished for. She has been there for me through every hardship. I'm so grateful for how much she has taught me about Jesus, The Bible and our Heavenly Father. She's always the first person I go to ask Biblical questions. As small as she is in stature, her heart is bigger than it needs to be. She's always grateful, caring, honest, genuine, considerate and a beloved child of our wonderful parents and Most High King. Dominique will always be "Big-D" despite how little she is in size. I love you, Big-D. Congrats to you and Jacob!
