The average temperature in October for a typical day ranges from a high of 83°F (29°C) to a low of 67°F (19°C). Some would describe it as pleasantly warm with a gentle breeze.

Tampa is closest with Orlando second closest. Ocala does have an airport, as well as nearby Gainesville, but there are few flights and the connection is more costly.
