Our Wedding

Donna and Brett both went to Mercer University. However, as Donna was coming in for her freshman year, Brett was leaving for law school. Amazingly enough they were at several events together during Donna's time at Mercer but they never met! It wasn't until a Mercer football game in October of 2015 that fate stepped in…Her Version: I was in town for a meeting at Mercer on Friday and decided to stay over and go to the football game. What I wasn't prepared for was the weather…it was FREEZING. I ran to the school store and grabbed a few things to help keep me warm; needless to say, I was not feeling my cutest. Before the game, a sorority sister and I began walking around to the different tailgates when we happened upon this guy who Amy introduced as Brett. He was tall, cute, had a great smile and seemed so outgoing. I was intrigued. I began talking to him, and was enjoying the conversation when my sorority sister announced she was heading out to catch up with some other people. I panicked. Said I was doing the same and just walked off! Brett called after me and said "It was nice to meet you!!" I looked over my shoulder and said "You too!" and just kept walking. Not my smoothest move but, thankfully, Brett found me on Facebook and the rest is history!His Version:I was hanging out, tailgating with friends at a Mercer game. Amy Reeder, who I knew from my time in school, walked up with a cute girl that I didn't know. Amy introduced her as Donna Duke and I felt like we hit it off instantly. After talking and getting to know each other for a while, she just walked off! Not to be deterred by her obvious attempt at playing hard to get, I found her on Facebook later to ask her what she thought about the game, only to find that she hadn't stayed. We talked a lot after that when she wised up and quit playing hard to get. I've been chasing her ever since.

Hilton Garden Inn Valdosta

**Preferred Hotel - We are working to set up a shuttle that runs from this hotel to the venue.** The Hampton Inn has rooms blocked under the Duke-McDaniel Wedding. This hotel is located closer to the venue but with slightly fewer restaurant options than the other hotel option
