Amanda is Donna’s daughter and she is the oldest of her two children. Donna is thrilled and honoured that Mandy will be her Matron of Honour. She could not imagine Mandy not being by her side on her special day. Mandy is not the daughter that Donna expected. She’s is so much more. Dan & Donna both are so proud of the woman she has become. Her sense of humour & strong sense of calm in every situation, her love of running & working out definitely prepared her for the role of a busy working mom chasing after her identical twin daughters, Audrey & Lily. Mandy & David both serve as officers in the Canadian Forces. David is one of the groomsmen. Don’t let his quiet demeanour fool you as he can be quick with a joke or comment! Now not only an Officer in the Canadian Forces, but he has become a pro at being a dual role “girl dad”while Mandy is away. He makes the best smoked ribs, can tackle any task to the finest detail & he is an expert at planning the best D&D weekly game nights with Mandy & friends. Dan & Donna are hoping to see some of his dance moves that he displayed at their 2019 wedding!

Jared loved her first and then a couple of decades later, Dan enters the picture and now here we all are! Although Jared and Dan enjoy many of the same interests (hockey, golf & beer) at times, these two really know how to push each other’s buttons from Jets vs Bruins, beer brands to politics, but Dan is honoured to have Jared as his Best Man! Jared still knows how to party, so Dan & Donna can definitely depend on Jared to keep the party going! Despite their gruelling work & hectic family schedules, Jared & Kelley never miss an opportunity to spend time with family or reach out on special occasions. Kelley’s been part of so many of Dan & Donna’s special memories, it’s only natural that she will join Donna as her bridesmaid! As a busy working mom of two daughters, Nora (4) & Mckenna (1), Kelley is one of the most organized moms on this planet & with Jared OFTEN on the road, this girl can literally handle anything! At the wedding, you will find Kelley tearing up the dance floor to Shania’s “Any Man of Mine” & taking photos for anyone who asks (you can trust she will capture your best angles & your hearts)!

This beauty is Donna’s only niece. Rachel & her partner, Rob, live in beautiful Victoria, BC with their children Ashton (6) & Parker (3). Rachel loves to travel & has travelled all over the world. Her bag is always packed & passport ready for the next opportunity to travel & try something new. Rachel is the life of any party & can light up any room. She is always there for family & makes every effort to reach out or be there no matter what she’s doing in life. Donna & Dan have spent a lot of time with Rachel & her family in Victoria. It’s always a fun time filled with some amazing BC hospitality (wine & sunshine) & wonderful memories. There is not a situation or conversation that is had between Donna & Rachel that doesn’t end in laughter. Sure wish they would have purchased that property in Winnipeg!

Chris is one of Dan’s nephews. Every Saturday night, you will find Chris down at the local Karaoke bar belting out his favourite version of Into the Mystic by Van Morrison. He’s a social media influencer and anyone who follows him knows that this isn’t Chris! In all seriousness, Chris is a man of many talents and interests. An avid sports & Bruins fan through and through, Chris also dedicates his summer playing softball and perfecting his golf score. Rumour has it, he was quite the hockey player back in the day! An absolute master at his craft, Chris can design, build or fix anything, making everything he builds a true work of art. Chris & his wife Marcie (Dan & Donna’s officiant) enjoy their summers at their lake retreat playing golf, tubing & relaxing with maybe a gin or two with their dog, Maya, close by.

Donna & Lorna go way back to their high school days in Yorkton, so it’s safe to say Lorna knows Donna better than anyone. Ohhh the secrets she keeps! These girls spent so many fun times together - skipping school, bush parties & crazy shenanigans they still laugh & talk about to this day. Through the forty plus years of friendship, these two have been there for each other through thick & thin. Donna was at Lorna’s side when in Winnipeg Lorna married the love of her life, Bryce, 30 years ago. They have raised five wonderful children together & own a business in Yorkton, Sherring Jewellers. As a very special & personal touch, Lorna & Bryce worked closely with Dan & Donna to find her the perfect engagement ring (and soon wedding bands)! Lorna is one very warm and wonderful human being and Donna is thankful every day since their first hello by the lockers at Yorkton Regional High School.

Stan has known Dan longer than anyone and if you’ve ever seen Stan and Dan together, you would know right away they are brothers! Who knew these sometime sibling rivals would turn into best friends years later? In their younger years when not in school or doing chores, these brothers spent their time playing hockey, scheming against their siblings & getting into some precarious situations such as when Stan drove the 1972 Buick straight into Jackfish Lake! But, there are a few more important things to know about Stan. He’s a die-hard Oilers fan, he loves golf and you can find him strumming his guitar solo or in his community band & he never minds taking requests! After a long successful career in the construction world, Stan is semi-retired. Stan and his wife Carla, raised a gorgeous daughter, Kelsey (Daniel) and they divide their time between their home in Edmonton & their beautiful lake front property.

Tracy and Donna became fast friends the moment they met. Tracy welcomed Donna into the hospitality world with open arms & she made every day worth showing up for work, with exception of the first day when Donna didn’t show up at all! Since that day, they have shared so many great times together including an absolutely crazy adventure to Vegas! Donna was one of Tracy’s bridesmaids when she married Chad in a stunning country wedding. Dan & Donna are hoping their dance floor will be as lit as theirs was! Tracy’s love of the rodeo world, her ease of having a great time wherever she goes, her love for her family and full circle of friends as well as her being one of the hardest working GMs in hospitality is a lot to balance, but yet this mom and grandma of two does it to perfection. She’s not only smart and so much fun to be around, but she is a true beauty inside and out.

Chad had both Donna & Dan at hello. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet! When he’s not fighting fires, it’s difficult to imagine what he’s doing as it could be anything from ATVing in the mud, trail riding in the backwoods or looking after their coral of beautiful horses. Chad & Dan share a love of the outdoors & all that it offers - hunting fishing (with a few ice fishing trips under their belts) & just enjoying country living. He tells the funniest stories! This dad of four, is an awesome Chef & he’s ready to prepare a culinary feast (and a few cold beer) for anyone who shows up. Just keep him away from a Nespresso machine! Chad’s absolute passion is the rodeo world. Every weekend from May to September you will find the family participating in almost every rodeo across Manitoba earning him a second career as President of the Manitoba Rodeo Association.

What were the chances that these two prairie girls would meet in Borden, Ont at their first week of work in 1988! Well that’s what happened & these two remained close friends despite the miles between them relying on long phone calls & quick visits throughout the years. A friendship that did not need to be nurtured daily & could be picked up where they last left off. Not only does El have a great sense of humour, heart of gold & a knack to make anyone feel important, but she’s also one of the smartest people on this planet. Doctor Sloan is a Prof of International Relations in the Dept of Political Science at Carleton University & has written numerous books. El & her husband, Tom, have raised two sons (Thomas & William). Donna is Will’s Godmother & El is Jared’s. They reside in Ottawa & look forward to retirement to spend more time at their cottage in Calabogie & vacation home in Florida.

Jeff has got to be one of the kindest people in the world & he is one of Dan’s closest friends & now Donna’s! Jeff always offers a helping hand to whomever needs one. Whether he’s looking after Dan’s place in Morris, watering plants or building gazebos in the hot sun, he definitely deserves a few beer or rums for his unwavering patience & hard work! Dan & Jeff share a few common interests. They have had many fun hunting excursions & during the summers, you will find them on the golf course engaged in a serious game of golf. But no golf game, deer or turkey hunt is complete without a stop at the local watering hole where stories are shared over a beer or two. Jeff is a retired banker & has a few hidden talents that many will envy, he can whip up a mean batch of cookies, enjoys gardening, has some serious pickling skills & Dan challenges anyone to keep up with him on the walking trail!
