Our Wedding

Our story, like many of the best ones, began long before we ever truly knew it. It started many years ago, within the sacred walls of the Prayer War Room (church), when we were just teenagers. Donnisha, a frequent visitor to the Hylton household on weekends, would often come to see her dear friend Tash, and spend cherished time with his family. It was during these visits that a young Odary would constantly try to engage Donnisha in play. While Donnisha, in her youthful wisdom, often found him to be a bit "annoying" with his persistent invitations, she always held a fondness for his funny and energetic spirit. Their connection was innocent, rooted in the warmth of family and shared moments. As the years passed, life took us on different paths, and direct contact became less frequent. Yet, God, and his higher power, had a subtle way of keeping us connected. Odary, ever the playful one, would often pop up in Donnisha's social media inbox. His messages were always a mix of humorous and bold declarations: "You are doing this for me," or "You are mine," and other silly remarks. Donnisha, with a smile and a shake of her head, would playfully "rebuke" these comments, but secretly, she always cherished him as a friend, appreciating his unique sense of humor. Then, as God would have it, many years later, a pivotal conversation unfolded. Odary, with a newfound seriousness in his tone, asked Donnisha if she was married. Her reply was a simple "No." His response, however, was anything but simple: "That's because I am your husband." Donnisha burst into laughter, thinking it was just another one of his funny lines. But this time, he was serious. Intrigued, Donnisha agreed to what she called their "first date/friendship outing." It was on this outing that Odary truly professed his intentions, laying his heart bare. Still, Donnisha, ever cautious, didn't fully take him seriously. Yet, their phone conversations continued, growing longer and deeper with each passing day. The time came when they both knew this was something special, something divinely orchestrated. Donnisha confided in her mother, and Odary, in turn, spoke to his. Together, their families joined them in prayer, seeking God's confirmation for their budding relationship. And as only God can do, the confirmation came, clear and undeniable. Soon after, Odary proposed, and Donnisha joyfully said yes! And now, here we are, planning our big day, filled with immense happiness and gratitude. We are so incredibly blessed that you are a part of this journey, and we can't wait to celebrate with all of you!

Dunn’s River Falls is an astounding flowing falls that extends across more than 183 metres or 960 feet and is one of the most well-loved travel destinations on the island and a ‘must-do’ bucket list item.Another remarkable point is that the Dunn’s River is one of the few rivers in the world that flows directly into the Caribbean Sea. The most popular activity is climbing up the falls and then hanging out in one of the several lagoons or pools along the way. Climbing Dunn’s River Falls has been done by locals as well as so many tourists for so long that it is quite easy to believe that the waterfall was made for climbing. However, in truth and in fact, Dunn’s River Falls is totally natural and all of the structures, crevices, and natural pools of water were created by the actual flow of the water’s current.Dunn’s River Falls was also featured in the James Bond Movie “Dr. No”. Ian Fleming, who is the author of the James Bond movies, fell in love with Jamaica while visiting the island for a naval meeting and spent several winters there at his property. The movie included the well-known scene of Ursula Andress walking out on Jamaica’s famous Dunn’s River beach.
