Things To Know Before The Wedding

Adult-Only Event: With respect, we would like our special day to be an adult only occasion. No children will be permitted entry. Parking: Complimentary parking is located off of 10th street in a gravel lot directly next to The Piedmont Room. Uber/Lyft is highly encouraged. Early arrival is highly recommended! Entry&nbsp;will not&nbsp;be permitted once ceremony starts at&nbsp;6:00 pm. Unplugged Ceremony:&nbsp;The bride and groom kindly request an unplugged ceremony. Please plan to&nbsp;turn off&nbsp;all devices and enjoy being fully present with us during the wedding ceremony. Selfies, photos, and videos are welcome after the ceremony :) RSVP&nbsp;Required: Please&nbsp;<a href="https://www.theknot.com/us/dorothy-charles-and-justin-matthews/rsvp" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">RSVP</a>&nbsp;by May 5, 2021.

COVID-19 Announcement

The health of our guests is the highest priority for us. We are following guidance from our venue and the CDC related to large gatherings. We will have safety precautions for our guests at the wedding, including masks, hand sanitizer, etc. However, we encourage our guests to get vaccinated or to get a COVID test prior to your arrival if possible. Be safe and God bless.

Our Wedding

Our story began in 2015 when we met at Mother, a popular "hang out" spot in Atlanta. Justin asked for Dorothy's phone number, and he's been talking her ear off ever since :)

Camille and Dorothy were perfect strangers in 2008 when they became college roommates at the University of Florida. They lived together for 3 years, and have been besties ever since.

Shanice and Dorothy became fast friends during their graduate program at the University of Georgia back in 2013. Since graduation, they continue to be supportive and loving girlfriends.

Ana and Dorothy are sister-cousins. They met when Ana moved to the USA over 25 years ago. They grew up together in Orlando and have been bothering each other since day 1.

Hazel and Dorothy met in 2008 through a social event at the University of Florida. During their first interaction, they bonded over french fries, and continue to be foodie friends to this day!

Kim & Dorothy met in 2011, as they embarked on their journey as first year teachers in San Antonio, TX. They were roommates for 2 years, and have remained close ever since. 

Kimanh Truong Munoz

Danielle and Dorothy met in 2007 as innocent and impressionable freshman at the University of Florida. They bonded during a memorable road trip to Tampa and have been close friends ever since.

Jenny & Dorothy are cousins and have know each other their whole lives! Their moms are sisters and best friends, and they were born 5 months apart. They are Florida girls through and through, and bonded during childhood during summers in Miami.

Erin and Dorothy met in the summer of 2014 during while working for Teach For America in Chicago. They were randomly paired as roommates and became fast friends who bonded over music, fashion, nails, and brunch.

The Super Matthews Bros are handling another wedding. Justin was Jordan's best man in 2018, so it's only right Jordan gets to return the favor. Big shoes to fill but no pressure.

Brian and Justin met their freshman year at State and make up one half of the  legendary Party Boyz Ent.

Justin and Daniel met in at Madison Academy in the 2nd grade. This friendship has seen playground fights, state championships, Nashville trips, and too many memories.

Justin and EJ met in the Summer Bridge program at MSU in 2009. They later became roommates because  of their shared sense of humor and energy. Their friendship remains tight, even states apart.

Justin and Kurt are cousins, but more like brothers. Kurt is the fun cousin you're always excited to see at the family reunion. #FOE

Stanley "Kurt" Logan

Justin and Phil met at State on an intramural basketball team and eventually became roommates. Phil gets credit for this wedding because he introduced Justin to Dorothy the night they met.
