Both Seth and Dorothy are born and raised Alaskans, and as small as Fairbanks is, it took a little bit of time before they would meet...
Funny enough, we technically first met at a choir concert years ago when I did choir with his younger sister. But fast forward to late January of 2022, Seth and I met through Snapchat (very 21st century of us, I know). After getting to know each other a little bit through the app, Seth asked me on a date and I thought, Couldn't hurt, if anything I'd love to have him as a friend. We had our first date at Creamers Field and spent hours watching a show, talking, laughing, and showing each other music. After about a month of getting to know each other, I asked Seth to be my boyfriend on March 6th, 2022. And that was the beginning of our story. What I initially thought would only be a friendship turned in to something more beautiful; a future with my best friend.

So here's what really happened. There I was, scrolling through Tinder (I know, very 21st century of me). And then I saw her. And oh boy was she absolutely beautiful, and just dumb enough to have her Snapchat in her bio. After attempting to initiate a match, and not being able to handle the rejection for five minutes, I added her on Snapchat. Seeing as how we had mutual friends, I figured, what's the worst that can happen? Well the worst thing happened; my super sweet bachelor lifestyle... gone. I had completely fallen and she rejected me at every advance. Cancelling our first two dates. After I'd finally gotten her to go on a date with me, I knew she'd be the one. So I asked her to be my girlfriend, to which she replied no, I'm not really looking for a relationship right now. Often having more pride than sense, I decided to wait. Fast forward a little bit, and several rejections later, I had lost hope. And then, an angel (her sister) sat on Dorothy and made her admit her feelings. Dorothy then asked me to be her boyfriend, to which I responded no, ask me later. And I finally gave in not really knowing that it would lead to forever. She may have asked me to be her boyfriend, but I asked her to be my wife.
