Both of our families went to the same homeschool coop, Kingdom Builders! This is when we "officially" met. Little did we know that this would be the start of a lifetime together...

From 2014 - 2019 we were in six different theatre productions together, this is where we got to know each other more as teens (we were even cast as husband and wife one year).

Doyle, looking for a job during the Covid era, re-connected with Laura as he heard there was an opening at a kids toy store she worked at in the MOA!

As we continued to work together and hangout outside of our shifts, we grew closer.

After a few months of encouragement from friends and family, Doyle asked Laura to be his girlfriend. She replied, "YES you idiot." It would not be the last time Laura had to wait for weeks in anticipation of Doyle asking her an all-important question.

After seven months of dating, Laura left to start her freshman year at UWEC, while Doyle finished up his music production degree in the twin cities at NCU.

Doyle's first BWCA trip as "boyfriend." The true test to make sure our relationship was solid...portaging through clouds of mosquitos.

As Laura worked on finishing her bachelors degree at Eau Claire, we continued to date long distance. We missed each other lots, but it was so worth it.

We continued to pursue our love of the outdoors together. Last summer, we went with Clara on a two night trip through South Dakota. We saw the badlands, Mt. Rushmore, camped in the backwoods, climbed 10,000 feet, and saw Wall Drug, all within 48 hours.

As Laura began to wrap up her final year of college at UWEC, we started to talk about our future together and what our lives looked like post graduation. Doyle had already been planning something special...

In a series of unfortunate events involving an unsupportive shoe, an uncoordinated dancer, and "Footloose", Laura broke her foot. Doyle internally panicked. They both put on a very brave face about it.

Unbeknownst to Laura, Doyle had been planning his next all-important question for months. Even with the broken foot, he made sure that everything was perfect.

Engaged after almost four years of dating, we are excited to finally be planning our wedding and future together!
