San Francisco International Airport
SFO is about 30-45 minutes from all the suggested hotels listed below. We recommend taking an Uber or BART public transit from SFO into the city.
Transportation
BART TRAIN SYSTEM
BART connects SFO with downtown San Francisco and is a great + cost effective way to avoid sitting in Bay Area traffic. The train departs from the SFO International Terminal and has multiple downtown San Francisco stations to choose from.
If you're staying at one of the suggested hotels, we recommend getting off at Embarcadero Station. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk—but fair warning, it's entirely uphill! To make things easier, we suggest taking an Uber for the last leg.
Parking
If you are driving into the city there are a couple of overnight parking garages to choose from. The Fairmont ($90/day) and the Stanford Court ($75/day) both offer valet overnight parking.
However, if you're looking for a more reasonably priced option and don't mind a walk, check out the Sutter-Stockon Garage ($46/day).
