Drew and Maddie met online through Facebook in early August 2024. Out of the sea of potential matches, the two had found each other: two WELS Lutherans with a strong commitment to their faith. From their very first conversation, it was clear there was a connection. It seemed like it was the hand of the Lord that had brought them together.

After a few failed attempts, the two were able to meet for their first date in mid-September 2024. After a few more dates, the two began going steady in their relationship on October 31, 2024. Over the next year, the two would discover a shared interest in watching their favorite movies and shows, a love of all kinds of games, and making and enjoying food together. Over the past year, their love for one another and their united faith in their Lord have only grown stronger.

Drew wanted to propose on their one-year anniversary, but the timing didn't work. The next day—November 1, 2025—on a cold and rainy afternoon, Drew proposed in the front seat of his car, and the two began planning their future together.

They are so thrilled to continue letting the hand of the Lord guide them and write their story together.
