Lilianna and Drew’s love story began in the digital age, but their connection was anything but ordinary. They met on Upward, a Christian dating app, on June 27, 2021. From the start, their relationship was built on passionate debates—Lilianna, a Protestant, and Drew, a Catholic, spent the first two weeks of their friendship locked in lively discussions about faith and beliefs. Despite their differences, curiosity and respect kept them talking, and on July 11, 2021, they finally met in person at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach. It was there, in the quiet reverence of the church, that they made a spontaneous but life-changing decision—they were going to start dating. From that moment on, their story truly began. That same day, Lilianna met Drew’s family and felt an unexpected sense of ease. She especially remembers being introduced to their peculiar-looking dog, Buddy, who only added to the warmth of the moment. Their relationship continued to grow despite the challenges of long distance. Seventeen months after their first meeting, on December 11, 2022, Drew planned the perfect proposal. At Fay Lake Park, under the golden hues of the setting sun, he got down on one knee between two twin palm trees, with the peaceful lake stretching behind them. It was a simple yet breathtaking moment—one that neither of them would ever forget. And in the end, after all the debates and discussions, love won in more ways than one. Lilianna, once steadfast in her Protestant faith, eventually embraced Catholicism. Their journey together had been filled with challenges, laughter, and deep conversations, but through it all, they chose each other. Now, as they prepare to say “I do,” their love story stands as a testament to the beauty of understanding, commitment, and faith.
