Hey, it’s me, Drew!

In the winter of my sophomore year, I had to write a History paper for my History of Christianity class. I would have to go to the library to get books for the paper. As I was leaving, I noticed a cute girl. As I would go in and out of the Library, I would notice Izzy. Just like every person who has a game, I wouldn’t talk to her for months.

Then it hit summer break. I would see one of her stories on Instagram. I thought to myself, “That’s the girl from the library”. I slid up on her story on Instagram and started a conversation. That conversation would then lead to further discussion. This process would continue for three weeks. Then one day, she asked if I could attend one of her worship performances at her home church. I paused and thought, wait, I had to work at my job that night. So I texted her back and said I had work that night, but I would be up for a date with her. She said yes, of course. We went on a date a couple of days later. She fell in love with me, of course. As we started dating, we would go through the year, including summer break. We would be traveling on summer ministry teams that summer. As we got back, we broke up…Surprise!

Luckily, we got back together (thank you, Jesus). As we reunited, our love for each other grew and continues to grow. As the year went on, Izzy wouldn’t stop asking me when I would propose. Finally, I asked her on July 28th (jokingly, she initially ran away), and she said yes. And that is our story. We are growing in our love for Christ and our love for one another.
