Drew and I met when we both enrolled in dental school at UNE in Portland, in the fall of 2017. For those that don’t know, each class is divided into four “group practices,” similar to houses in Hogwarts. We were conveniently assigned to the same group.

Fast-forward three years and we’d become good friends, often seeing each other in school. One day we started texting and never stopped --- which (for those who know Drew) is unprecedented. More often than not, she has no idea where her phone is.

Soon after, the appeal and affordability of $2 tacos initiated an impromptu friends lunch date at Tortilla Flatts. After over three hours of effortless conversation, smiles and laughs, the waitress asked if we wanted dinner menus. Ironically, I missed a dental cleaning appointment that afternoon. So now I like to pretend that every time a patient no-shows me, they’re out falling in love with their soulmate.

Anyway, dental school ended in 2021 and Drew moved to Baltimore, MD for a residency. We made good use of Facetime and Southwest Airlines that year.

In the summer of 2022, Drew moved back to Maine and we moved in together in Portland. For the next few years we lived our best DINK (Dual Income, No Kids) lives, growing our love and making memories.

The summer of 2024 rolls around and I figure it’s go-time. At a winery in Clifton, VA I got down on one knee and said: “Ever since that day at Tortilla Flatts, I’ve known you were the one. Drew Anna Sigman, will you marry me?” Given that you’re viewing our wedding website, her answer probably won’t surprise you.

To add to the momentous occasion, that particular weekend also included an annual Dave Matthew’s concert, Drew’s birthday, and acquiring the latest addition to our family (Nugget, the Shih Tzu).

That brings us to present day, where we’re no longer DINKs, but have become Dual Income, Little Dog Owners. I'll let you work out that acronym for yourself. Our story is just beginning and we’re excited for you all to be a part of it!
