Forest Park is one of the largest urban parks in the United States. Activities include visiting the Saint Louis Art Museum, the Missouri History Museum, and the St. Louis Science Center (all located within the park and free to visit).

The St. Louis Cathedral Basilica has one of the world's largest collections of mosaic art. Open to visitors daily: Masses are at 7 a.m., 8 a.m. and 12:05 p.m., Mon.-Fri.; 8 a.m, 10 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. on Sun. Tours are Monday-Friday.

The park features a 140-acre lake with fishing docks and boat rentals, perfect for a day of leisurely fishing or paddling. Visitors can enjoy picnicking areas, a playground and sprayground, bike rentals, and a sand volleyball court.

Located in St. Peter's, Veteran's Tribute Park features walking trails, picnic areas, splashgrounds and playgrounds surrounded by natural beauty, fishing docks, a dog park, and disc golf course.
