As my sister's wedding day drew nearer, a quiet longing settled in my heart. Love was in the air for everyone around me, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of desire for my own fairytale. My sisters, had often mentioned George, suggesting he'd be a wonderful match. But stubborn me, I was determined to write my own love story. However, the idea of George, once dismissed, began to gently resurface. Perhaps my sisters weren't so off the mark after all? Yet, I knew he had no idea who I was, nor had he ever heard of me. I took a leap and messaged him on Instagram. I knew he was friendly, and when I saw his gym had caught fire, I simply reacted with a shocked emoji. He messaged me back with a witty reply, and our banter quickly turned into genuine, flowing conversation. It was clear almost immediately that we had an undeniable connection. From that day forward, George and I clicked. He was eager to meet, and so was I. Our first date was just the beginning; we both knew we wanted to keep exploring this newfound chemistry. He didn't just check all my boxes; he created new ones I didn't even know existed. Sooner than I could have imagined, we were official. Our relationship was filled with wonderful adventures. George took me to exquisite restaurants, we explored different cities, wandered through museums, and spent countless hours in board game battles. Every outing was a joy, a new memory etched into our shared history. Yet, amidst all the excitement, the moments that truly deepened our connection were the quiet, late-night drives and the car conversations that stretched into the early hours. It was there, in the intimate space of the car, and later during our long FaceTimes, that we truly opened up, sharing our dreams, our fears, and our deepest thoughts. These were the moments where our souls truly intertwined. Then, on August 17th, 2024, a date forever etched in my heart, George asked me to marry him. The conversations we'd had on those quiet night drives, the ones where we'd playfully dream about one day getting married and starting a family, suddenly became vividly real. I feel incredibly blessed by the way our story has unfolded, a testament to timing, unexpected turns, and the beautiful journey of discovering true love. I am beyond excited to marry the man of my dreams—my caring, funny, joyful, and truly beautiful soul.
