How they Met-Dustin and Michelle both attended Northwestern Jr. High and Battle Creek Central High School. They had classes together and a lot of mutual friends. Years later, Dustin and Michelle ran into each other at Bronson Hospital. Michelle was working as a CPS worker and Dustin was a nurse. They exchanged a quick hello, but CPS life was busy, and Michelle could not stop to chat. That day, she sent Dustin a message on social media apologizing for not stopping to talk longer. A message that now is a really sweet memory for both of them. At the time, they had no idea how life would bring them together. The next few years were spent growing as adults focusing on themselves, their careers and overcoming challenges that came their way. The First Date-Dustin messaged Michelle on social media to catch up. They chatted back and forth and then set up a date to meet. They got Mexican for dinner and seen a movie. After the movie, they both left in their cars. But Michelle called him and asked him to meet for a drink as she wasn't ready for the date to end. They went to the Griffin and closed the bar down talking.The next morning, Michelle asked Dustin to go to breakfast at their favorite high school spot-The Pancake House.The following day, Michelle was leaving for a cruise and came back a week later with a massive head cold. Dustin came over with chicken noodle soup. And they have been together ever since. Their first date is their anniversary, because from that date forward, they just felt they needed to be together. 6 years together they have built a wonderful life with their two children Carter and Evelyn. Managing life with two children and working full-time is not easy. But these two make a great team. They always look forward to date-nights and adventures/trips together. They are excited to share their day with you!

Situated on nearly 450 acres of lush natural forest preserve, Ancestral Acres provides a beautiful countryside escape for weddings. The charming estate is home to the restored 1880s Queen Anne mansion and a renovated, white-interior barn event space. We are excited to share our day with you!
