Our Story

What started as a friendship with a love for bowling, turned into a partnership with a love for each other. Throughout our time together, we've hit many milestones...or to make my soon to be wife happy with the reference...many eras. Let's go on an eras tour, shall we?

The Covid Era

After being friends for a few years, we really connected during the long quarantine of the pandemic. We became walking buddies and spent the long days just hanging out and enjoying each others company. A pandemic didn't seem like a good time to start a relationship, but the more we tried to keep it casual, the more we realized that we were seeing something special start between us. And thus, the partnership began!

The Travel Era

As the world started to open back up, we opened our relationship to a make or break chapter....traveling together! Our first trip was Tucson, Arizona and we were so in sync with each other the entire trip, it was like we had been this well-experienced team that had been together for years. As we've talked about many times now over the years, that was the moment we knew we had something special. From Tucson to Thailand, Costa Rica to Amsterdam, we have traveled the world together and can't imagine a better person to travel life with.

The Portage Park Era

As we decided to build our life together, we looked for our first place together as partners. All we both had ever known was living in the heart of the city in apartments, so when we decided to move to the far northwest side to a house in practically the suburbs, you think we would have a culture shock, but in true Dustin and Amelia fashion, the transition was easy.

The Engagement Era

May 27th - Tucson, Arizona. What Amelia thought would be a night where we saw one of her favorite musical groups (other than T.S), turned into a night where I asked her to be my partner for life. I thought it was fitting to propose where I first knew she was the one. We stopped at our favorite sandwich spot and decided to eat them at a "random" park I found. As we sat up on the hill of Reid (see...not so random...) Park, overlooking couples and families enjoying the company of one another, I asked the best partner of my life, to officially be my wife.

The Marriage Era

And now we come to present day. The start of the rest our lives together. As we continue to strengthen our bond as partners, we can't wait to celebrate our life in front of our friends and family. Just like our relationship, our wedding will be fun and filled with love. We look forward to celebrating it with you!!
