After Michelle moved to Minong, WI, Mollie planned a visit to see her mom. During her trip, Michelle invited her to Gruzy’s—Dustin’s hometown bar—for karaoke night. She mentioned that Dustin was excited to meet her and would be there, to which Mollie casually replied, “lol,” not thinking much of it. That changed the moment they met.

Mollie and Dustin hit it off instantly, talking the entire night and never really stopping after that. The following weekend, Dustin traveled to Lakeville, MN, to visit Mollie, and they quickly bonded over their shared love for the Vikings, even attending a game together.

Over the next year, they navigated a long-distance relationship, making countless 2.5-hour drives to see each other. Once Mollie completed nursing school, she moved into Dustin’s home, and before long, they welcomed their beautiful baby girl.
