Lets Go Back to the Beginning!

July 2018

While we knew of each other prior to 2018, we did not know each other very well. It was not until Dylan’s 19th birthday that really started it all. I sent Dylan an Instagram DM with a simple ‘happy birthday’ message. He responded and the conversation did not go much further from there. Little did I know that Dylan would message me again on July 7, 2018. We talked throughout the day, and he asked me if I would want to get dinner. On July 8, 2018, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings, but I did not think it was a date. After dinner, we went to the Mandeville Lakefront where we spent hours and hours talking to each other and getting to know each other. This is when I finally realized we were on a date! Over the course of the next several weeks, we continued talking and growing closer. We officially began dating on July 17, 2018, and have been inseparable ever since!

The Proposal

What I thought was a normal day turned into the best day ever! It was the most perfect day spent with family and friends. All I thought was that we were going to watch the USM and LSU baseball games, but Dylan had much bigger plans in store. Dylan took me on a walk towards the lakefront gazebo, where we shared our first kiss all those years ago. He got down on one knee to ask the big question! Without hesitation, I said yes!
