We both grew up in Simi Valley, California and lived only 5 minutes from each other. However, because we went to different schools and never had any mutual friends, our paths never crossed organically. It wasn’t without the help of modern dating apps that linked us together. In 2014, we both joined Tinder where Alison came across a picture of Dylan holding up a fish and it was love at first site (or fish). Alison got Dylan’s attention by posting pictures of her snowboarding, little did he know she wasn’t very good at it lol sorry Dyl. Our first date was at Borderline, where we attempted to line dance all night. Our connection felt immediate, like we had known each other our whole lives.

After 5 years of dating, we both graduated from Moorpark Community College with our Associates Degrees. We decided to apply to the same colleges and both got accepted to Humboldt State University in the Redwoods. We packed up all our stuff, said goodbye to our friends and family and moved into our first place together in Humboldt County. In 2020, we both graduated from HSU with our Bachelor's of Science Degrees and decided to stay in Humboldt and explore its beauty together.

In September of 2021, we drove to a Humboldt dairy farm and picked up our baby boy Huck who would change our lives forever. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into with him but he has turned out to be our biggest blessing.

After 8 years of really making sure she was the one, Dylan proposed to Alison in June of 2021 on the beach with his mom and aunt Kim by his side.

And now after 3 years of engagement, they are FINALLY GETTING MARRIED!!
