Dylan and Mahala met in 2018 while in high school, and both working at Monicals Pizza. Dylan was much more shy and reserved than Mahala. One day while at work, Dylan worked up the courage to ask Mahala if she liked chicken strips and this is where the story begins. When Mahala answered with a swift, yes, Dylan quickly asked her if she would like to go out on a date to Cheddars with him. After several weeks of dating, Dylan decided to officially ask Mahala to be his girlfriend. He was very creative and asked her by writing, “will you be my girlfriend?” in French dressing on a pizza board.


They have shared so many adventures together so far. They’ve especially enjoyed (well Mahala did mostly) getting dressed up and spending many high school dances together. But some of their favorite memories are also shared with their families. Things like going to Missouri to camp and enjoy floating all day down the river with his entire family. Even spending weekends at the beach and making day trips to Disney with hers. However, some of their best memories are just spending time alone getting ice cream or watching a late night movie


As many know, most of their relationship has been long distance Mahala moved to Florida in 2019, in 2020 Dylan enlisted with the United States Navy and Mahala went onto college at Florida Gulf Coast University. Although long distance can be hard at times they somehow made it look easy.


In December 2021 while visiting Mahala during a quick leave, Dylan proposed to her and SHE SAID, “YES”! Their story is far from over and they can not wait to celebrate their special day with you on December 2, 2023.


They are so excited for the new memories ahead as a married couple.
