Transportation
The town of Toccoa is small and rural, which does add a few challenges for transportation. We highly recommend that you have access to car, as rideshare and taxi availability may be limited.
For those flying to the wedding, the cheapest, and most convenient airport is likely to be Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (Approximately 2 hours from venue by car).
Other nearby airports include:
Greenville-Spartanburg Airport (Approximately 1 hour & 20 minutes from venue by car)
Augusta Regional Airport (Approximately 2 hours & 40 minutes from venue by car)
The only other public transportation means of getting to Toccoa is Amtrak. Toccoa is a stop on Amtrak's Crescent Line between Atlanta and Charlotte. Please be warned that since Toccoa is not a primary destination, the times of departure and arrival can be inconvenient. Additionally, we only recommend you choose this option if car rental is not a possibility for you and you have someone who can drive you around Toccoa once you arrive. Taxi and ride share services are not always available. Please also note that Amtrak stations may be some distance away from an airport and that additional transportation will need to be arranged between airport and train station.

Hampton Inn & Suites Lavonia
The Hampton Inn is always a nice and reliable option. The Lavonia Hampton Inn is located conveniently off of Interstate 85 (Interstate between Atlanta and Charlotte), approximately 30 minutes from the wedding venue and 15 minutes from the Rehearsal Picnic at Tugaloo State Park.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lavonia, an IHG Hotel
The Holiday Inn Express is always a nice and reliable option. The Lavonia Holiday Inn Express is located conveniently off of Interstate 85 (Interstate between Atlanta and Charlotte), approximately 30 minutes from the wedding venue and 15 minutes from the Rehearsal Picnic at Tugaloo State Park.
Hampton Inn Cornelia
The Hampton Inn is always a nice and reliable option. The Cornelia Hampton Inn is located approximately 20 minutes from the wedding venue and 45 minutes from the Rehearsal Picnic at Tugaloo State Park.
Quality Inn
This is likely the only hotel/motel we can reasonably suggest in Toccoa proper. This is a great budget option or a good option for those who want a shorter travel time the day of the wedding. Located approximately 10 minutes from the wedding venue and 25 minutes from the Rehearsal Picnic at Tugaloo State Park.
The Simmons-Bond Inn Bed and Breakfast
The Simmons-Bond Inn Bed & Breakfast is a great option for those who love Victorian style mansion bed and breakfasts or for those who want a shorter travel time the day of the wedding. Located approximately 5 minutes from wedding venue and 30 minutes from Rehearsal Picnic at Tugaloo State Park.
Lake Rabun Hotel & Restaurant
For those who don't mind staying a little farther away, the Lake Rabun Hotel offers a boutique style option at relatively reasonable prices. Located in the mountains overlooking beautiful Lake Rabun, the hotel is a gorgeous place to stay. For the more adventurous at heart, the hotel is also located only 10 minutes from Tallulah Gorge State Park. The Lake Rabun Hotel is located approximately 30 minutes from the wedding venue and 1 hour from the Rehearsal Picnic at Tugaloo State Park.
Glen-Ella Springs Inn & Restaurant
This bed and breakfast style hotel comes highly reviewed and is located closer to the mountains. Reasonably priced and includes a complimentary breakfast for 2 in their restaurant. Located approximately 20 minutes from the wedding venue and 45 minutes from the Rehearsal Picnic at Tugaloo State Park.
