Dylan and I first met back in October 2016 when he decided to swipe up on my snapchat story of me out hunting. We dated throughout hunting season and our love story ended around April of 2017. This 6 short months was only the beginning of this crazy love journey.
We both ended up going our separate ways but god knew we were meant for each other and brought this amazing man back into my life. Amanda (Dylan's sister) helped me get a job at Farm Bureau in 2019. After not seeing Dylan for almost 2 years and going our separate ways I began to see him more and more frequently. I would sometimes show up a little early to Amanda's house to carpool in hopes I could catch him at her house in the morning. I would get all the dirty details on Dylan's life from Amanda. I tried to get details without letting her know I was very interested in his life, even though I think she knew but she was all for us getting back together. It just so happened that right around this time he became single again. We started playing softball on a coed team together and I would catch myself being way over friendly with him. I never wore makeup or did my hair for softball until I started playing with him...... needless to say I was just maybe trying to get his attention. I ended up becoming single as well and I reached out to Dylan one night and as fait would have it he was house sitting for a family friend in Portland. He invited me to come over and hangout with, I of course took him up on his offer and honestly we have been inseparable since.
We officially started dating again in August 2020. A few months after being together I had purchased a house and Dylan was able to help turn it into a home for us. As many of you may know, we enjoy doing a lot together, we are both very passionate about hunting, enjoy playing softball and doing really anything outdoors. We got to spend 2 years building a friendship, an extraordinary relationship and doing all the things we love together.
On January 4th 2022 our whole world changed. I got to tell Dylan he was going to be a Dad. I can still remember every single moment of that day. I was scared but Dylan kept reassuring me everything was going to be okay and we would get through it all. He did not lie, he has exceeded all my expectations. He has been the best Dad to Braxton and the best partner to me throughout everything. I wasn't sure I could love him anymore than I already did but then I got to watch the man I love become a Dad and I felt a whole different level of love. We both love Braxton beyond words and have enjoyed every moment of watching him grow..... but we knew our family wasn't quite complete yet.
October 2nd 2023 Braxton got to tell his dad he was being promoted to big brother. Once again I can remember every moment of this day and the look on his face when he saw Braxton's t-shirt after getting home from a hunting trip to Ohio. We are extremely excited to meet baby kemp #2. It felt like an eternity waiting to find out the gender of our second child.
January 13th 2024 We finally got to find out we were going to be welcoming a baby girl into the family. After seeing the pink balloon pop I turned around to my best friend down on one knee asking me to marry him. I have never been more sure in saying yes in my entire life. I get to marry the father of my children and my absolute very best friend. We have been through a lot together and there is no one I would rather have by my side throughout this crazy thing we call life!
We are beyond excited to finally be getting married and keep doing this crazy life together as an official family. We hope you can all come celebrate our special day with us!
