Our Wedding

Dylan and I have known of each other for practically our entire lives. We both grew up in Hustisford and our dads played on the same men's basketball team together. Although, we never said a single word to each other. My family ended up moving about an hour and a half south of Hustisford to the Lake Geneva area for roughly 7 years, before we moved back to the area. During the summer of 2022 we played on the same volleyball team on Thursday nights at the hill. Dylan went back to school in the U.P in August. We didn't talk until one random Tuesday in October when Dylan had messaged me asking if I like to go to a haunted house. I told him I would, but I am terrified of them. That Friday we had plans to go to a haunted house with his friends and we hit it off. The next day we went out to dinner and ended up hanging out until 4am Sunday morning. Dylan went back up to school and we couldn't stop talking. Two weeks later I was driving 5 hours to see him in Michigan. On November 5, 2022, Dylan asked me to be his girlfriend on a beach in the U.P.&nbsp;We spent the next two years growing our relationship and spending every spare second we had together. Being 5 hours away from each other has been hard, but it has made every moment we spend together so much more special. On December 18, 2024, Dylan had me convinced we were going to lunch with a family from church. On the way there Dylan said they were running behind, so we took the long way and stopped at that same beach to look for sea glass. When Dylan pulled into the parking lot I was about halfway out of the truck. While he was taking his sweet time getting out the truck I was running down to water. Dylan told me to slow down and wait for him, so I turned around. He took my hand as we walked down to the water and when we reached the water, Dylan got down on one knee.
