If You Ask Karrah: Back in 2014, if you would have asked me if I thought I had met the person I would spend the rest of my life with I would have said no. I was a shy (unless you knew me), scrawny girl going into High School not knowing what to expect being the baby of the campus all over again. The summer before Freshman Year I was at a West Valley football game. My friends had been picked up by their parents except for the new boy, whose name was Dylan. I remember thinking how cute he was with his little Justin Bieber haircut and ice blue eyes. He was so fun and easy to talk to. We talked each other’s ears off until our parents showed up. So, like any other 14-year-old I sent him a message on Instagram and asked for his phone number (Yes, I was the one who asked). We had such an immediate connection we became great friends who shared no secrets.&nbsp; &nbsp;Now fast forward to Junior Year 2016. I threw a Halloween Party at my grandparents’ house. I was out front talking to my dad who was regulating the chaos when Dylan shows up. He was there for maybe 5 minutes and wasn't dressed up and that caught my eye. It was then when I thought to myself, I want to “talk” to this boy. So, the next day I decided to text him, and it just progressed from there. We had always had a spark but never explored it. Now it is November, and we planned our first date. Oddly enough it was at a football game but this time it was at Foothill. I remember being so nervous, which was unlike me especially since I had known him for 2 years now. Dylan was still shy and quiet but also so sweet. He held my hand for most of the game, and I didn’t know until later down the road the ring I was wearing was digging into his hand the whole time, but he still didn’t let go. After that game he walked me to my car and that’s where we shared our first kiss leaving butterflies in my stomach the whole way home. Then a whole month later on December 16th, 2016, Dylan was in my driveway with a beautiful bouquet of roses and my favorite Dutch Bros drink asking me to be his girlfriend. If someone were to ask me “When did you know Dylan was the one?” I would not have just one answer. If I were to describe everything that I love and cherish about Dylan and all our memories together I could publish a book series. Once we graduated High School our connection only grew stronger. My family absolutely loved him, and I felt the same about his. One of my favorite things about our relationship is the goofiness. Him and I will laugh until our stomachs hurt because of something the other one did. He has been my best friend since day one and that is something that will never change.&nbsp;If Dylan would have asked me to marry him at any point after we became “adults” my answer would have been yes. &nbsp;Now here we are 8 years down the line at 24 years old. At this point I must admit, I was getting slightly impatient waiting for this man to pop the question. This year on our anniversary we decided to take a trip to South Lake Tahoe since Dylan has never been. There was no snow before we left but on our way there, it was snowing so much that it looked like a winter wonderland (I love the snow). For the first 2 days, it was a blizzard but when we woke up on Sunday it was a clear and beautiful day. We got up and went to breakfast (which was nasty) then decided to go look at the lake. We were with our friends Chelsee and Nate who asked us to take a picture of them with the lake in the background. Then of course I wanted a picture of Dylan and I as well. After that picture was taken, I saw Dylan digging in his pocket (I just thought he was getting out his gloves) then I saw it! THE black box!! I was completely stunned. I truly had no idea he was going to propose that weekend. The ring was absolutely gorgeous and more than I could've imagined. I was at a complete loss for words and couldn't say “YES” fast enough. After all the excitement, I facetimed all our important people and thought to myself “I couldn’t be happier to say yes to the love of my life.” Since 16 years old we have always said "Forever &amp; Always" now we get to make it officially official.
